Thank you for the site for LAX. FYI. The Proud Bird restaurant near LAX has big windows for fans.

I was inside the airport property just east of the approach, the north side of LAX. I'd guess I was about 200 yards east of the runway threshold when a 737 on approach came in right over our heads and landed right on top of a Skywest commuter aircraft waiting to take off on the same runway. The 737 rode on top of the Skywest aircraft about 2,000+ feet down the runway then veered left, crossed another runway or taxiway then headed right at the terminal when it hit a closed fire station, which was right next to the passenger terminals.
A week later I was a passenger when it taxied down one of the runaways and you could see these massive dark black tire marks skidding in a big arc towards the terminal. At the scene it took them a while to realize there was another aircraft underneath the 737 at point of rest.

Logan Airport used to have a great observation deck right on airport property...enclosed,big windows...great. But after 9/11 they shut it down.
But there's a spot right near the airport where one can get an amazing view of aircraft...about 100 feet above, gear down. My Dad and I used to go there in the afternoon waiting for the 747s to arrive from Europe. In 2019 I got an amazing video of an Emirates A380 passing 100 feet directly overhead with gear down.
Yes,call me a geek...I won't mind.
I wish I had known about the airport in the Caribbean where the 747s would pass 50 feet overhead when landing and take off so close to the fence that the jet blast would knock you down. Can't recall its name.
