If you aren't aware, the Tolkien fandom isn't happy with Amazon's new work of "art," the $1-billion-a-season "Rings of Power."
There are a lot of reasons why the show is being criticized so heavily – most of them having to do with post-modern, feminist, Marxist ideology that the showrunners are trying to impose on a franchise that is utterly opposed to such things – but I'll let you sift through those in-depth reviews for yourself.
As for right now, let's just glory in the fact that somehow, despite the beloved franchise having oodles of source material to work with, the creators of this hot garbage managed to get a worse initial rating than the current approval ratings of the most unliked President of the United States.
I love and hate to see it (cuz I want woke desecrations of art to fail but I really wanted this to be good).
You can ignore the critic rating. These days, it only serves as a benchmark of whether or not something is woke trash or just trash trash.

Hadn’t even heard of it but as a Tolkien fan I’d rather burn my books and treasure the memories than see his creation profaned by watching this trash. Sound like I’m no alone.

The ONLY thing you got right in ALL of your rants is there’s a black Elf and Dwarf, when Tolkien never mentioned a darker color for those races. That’s it, and I mentioned elsewhere it bothers me a bit, but as long as Arondir doesn’t start complaining that Sauron is keeping him down because he’s black I can tolerate his character.
Everything else you said is wrong. Tolkien’s Galadriel was strong, stubborn and driven to stop evil after she lost all three of her brothers (you see one die in the show, not her husband). Her husband, Celeborn, hasn’t even appeared in the show, and she doesn’t study wisdom until after marriage. Tolkien described her as “the only female to stand tall in those days.” She was a leader of armies during the Wars of Beleriand.
Harfoots are one of three Hobbit races, and described as “browner” than the others.
Aragorn’s line is not depicted as black. The Numenoreans (Dunedain) haven’t appeared yet.
The wizards (Istari) don’t appear until the Third Age.
During the First Age Galadriel was a leader (of armies) during the Noldor rebellion and the Wars of Beleriand. Tolkien described her as “the only female to stand tall in those days.”
I suppose it’s possible she wore her nightgown into battle in the First Age...
Wrong.
Galadriel only took part in the kin slaying. She never led armies for anything else. The writers have already said Celeborn is dead for the series. So obviously, you aren’t up to date on the statements they’ve made.
They are hinting at having wizards, another thing the show runners have said,even though their should not be any in the second age. Again, you are not as informed as to what these people are saying in interviews.
No Numenor Queen ever led soldiers into battle. Miriel was forced to wed At-Pharazon, she never ruled on her own.
Galadriel is stubborn, prideful and wants power. She is also feminine, ethereal and intelligent. There is no need to turn her into a Xena, warrior princess rip off.
She is a Mary Sue Karen now. A travesty to one of the greatest characters in fantasy fiction.
It’s great your enjoying the Amazon fan fic of representation, stilted and horrible dialogue, and events that never were referenced by Tolkien.
First Age, you said it yourself. Not Second.
She is described by Tolkien as a leader of the host of Fingolfin. In every instance of Tolkien lore a host means army. Granted, whether or not she picked up a sword again during the Wars of Beleriand we don’t know, but it most certainly wouldn’t be beyond her.
FDR, Churchill, Lincoln were leaders but I didn’t see them hefting Thompson’s and Springfields around.
And the Iron Lady herself, Margarette Thatcher never put on combat boots but the lead her nation in th cold war and the Falklands.
And it's fine you have no interest -- I understand. I simply said the show was just OK -- not great, but not bad -- and it definitely steps outside of Tolkien canon. But I'm not seeing the level of wokeness folks are claiming is there.
Well, personally, I don’t mind seeing a bit of Lauren Boebert, Dana Loesch or MTG in Galadriel, but I guess that’s too woke for some folks.
There’s enough “Mary Lou’s” and dumbed down men in modern Hollywood movies. Let Tolkien’s strong women as he wrote them.

Pluto tv> Star Trek> Star Trek Lower Decks is on for 1 episode tonight.
It is a cartoon with lots of swearing and the actors speak very fast so hard to follow what is going on. I watched it and nothing, no comedy, no drama, just nothing there.
I did a search on: Star Trek Lower Decks and came across many bad reviews.

Anti Christian? There are wasn’t anything like that. No idea what you’re talking about. Christianity isnt mentioned in the books and this is no different. It is an epic between good and evil, so theres that similarity. But not sure what you saw to say that it’s anti Christian
