The results are in and it appears former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will not be going to Congress. Democrat Mary Peltola managed to win the special election to fill the state’s House seat for the rest of 2022. However, this could be a temporary victory.
This particular election was notable in that it was the first time Alaska used a ranked-choice voting system. Also, this will be the first time a Democrat has held this particular seat in 49 years. RedState’s Cameron Arcand wrote up an explanation of how the system works here. The race was seen by many as an opportunity for Palin to return to the national political stage.
Democrat Mary Peltola won an Alaska special election to serve the remaining months of the late GOP U.S. Rep. Don Young’s term. Peltola edged out Sarah Palin, who was attempting a political comeback more than a decade after she resigned as Alaska governor. https://t.co/ZPgbx2ZGSe

CNN reported:
The special election process began when a field of 48 candidates — including Santa Claus, a North Pole councilman and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders supporter — was whittled down to a final four in a June primary in which candidates of all parties ran together on one ballot.
Palin; Peltola; Nick Begich III, a Republican businessman from the state’s most famous Democratic political family; and independent Al Gross were the four that advanced. But shortly after the primary, Gross dropped out of the race, a move that consolidated Democratic support behind Peltola.
If I'm reading the blurry screen correctly, Peltola (D) was aided by a huge "exhaustion" rate among Begich voters. Begich's ballots broke down:
Palin (R) 50.3%
Peltola (D) 28.8%
No second choice (exhaust): 20.9%In the end, Palin was so disliked #AKAL wasn't even that close.

The results of the race can be viewed below. But this doesn’t mean one should count Palin out just yet. Peltola will fill the late Rep. Don Young’s seat for the rest of the year. Both Palin and Peltola will be running to fill Alaska’s seat in the House in November.
Ranked Choice Voting is completely unconstitutional. It violates “One Person, One Vote”.
ranked-choice voting system
Why would anyone agree to that?
This is Alaska’s final vote count. It shows the primary vote, followed by the ranked vote totals.

If the Alaskans are stupid enough to put their energy dividend checks into the power of Democrats, they deserve whatever bad things come their way.
So, come November, when Palin goes head to head with pelota, the same number of people vote r and same number vote d, Palin wins.
Except Begich is also running in November.
No, only half of Begich voters preferred Palin to Peltola.
I cannot believe so many weak, woke, sissified wimps voted for the Dim as second choice instead of Palin. What a bunch of feckless d-bags.
Nope. Same result will occur. Weak, woke, sissified turds will vote for a a communist over Palinfor their second choice.
Screw all these people. I’m done with my fellow Alaskans.
She simply drew more republican votes than he did, so logically he should be presuaded to drop out, unless he is a shill to draw votes away from Palin. Now, if he does not run, then 53 k plus 59 K is more than the 75 K Pelota received.
If Begich had backed her, she would have won.
Guess what state has the highest welfare expenditure per capita. I'll give you a hint: Alaska is in the top 6 - MA is number 2, NY is number 3, RI is number 4, NM is number 5 and VT is number 6. You can correlate roughly Democrat influence by welfare parasites recipients in each state since Democrats promise the welfare parasites recipients more of other peoples' hard earned cash than Republicans

If Begich drops out, as the least vote getter, than Palin wins. If Begich stays in as the spoiler, he is a dem shill planted to suck up votes.
He comes from a solid Rat family, so the possibility of him being a shill is strong.
But, hating Palin sometimes overcomes common sense, so there is that.
BUT SHE STANDS A GOOD CHANCE OF WINNING IN THE GENERAL ELECTION IN NOVEMBER.
She was good when she was a conservative. When she started endorsing Democrats, and got a Democrat governor elected, not so much.
She helped move Alaska to the left. When she helped get Bill Walker elected, it was devastating for the state. She should be called out on that.
Did you support Bill Walker like Pain did?
It correlates with some of my research.
