Rand Paul was nearly killed. Paul spent time in the hospital in critical condition. Which some of his injuries will never go away.
The attacker Rene Boucher was first sentenced to 30 days in prison. The case was appealed for a larger sentence. The new judge gave him eight more months in prison and six months on home confinement
