Dr. Anthony Fauci announced his retirement Monday. He told Sheryl Gay Stolberg of the New York Times he will “pursue the next chapter” of his career in December. The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is 81, and has been in his post for 38 years. Fauci is a tragic figure, for his career represents in an individual the final collapse of American republicanism and the basic idea of common sense upon which it was built.

How many people with covid were sent to nursing homes to infect the most vulnerable. How many people in hospitals with covid died without being able to hold the hand of their family or loved one. For this and for all the lying he did about HIV he has caused much pain and suffering.

My opinions are sometimes at variance with received FR wisdom. That doesn’t make me an alcoholic.
Anything to do with the vaccines and other covid topics and I often seem to be in the minority, but I’m sure there are plenty like me out there in FR land who have given up stating their views.
