He asks adults the following questions. They don’t know the answers:
What’s the capital of the United States?
How many stars are on the United States flag?
What ocean is on the east side of the United States?
What country is the Queen of England from?
What was Adolf Hitler’s first name?
What is two times two times one?
Who was the first President of the United States?
They don’t know the answers.
This is proof that getting into college is way too easy.
No wonder why so many college students think that borrowing money doesn’t entail paying it back.

In one of my classes, I would give the students a “general knowledge” quiz at the beginning of the semester. It had questions similar to these, and the results were just as depressing. Fewer than 50% of students could answer basic questions such as: “How many stripes are on the US Flag?” “On what continent is the United States?” “Who is the current Vice President?” This was a 300-level class with mostly juniors and seniors.
