One wonders why they don't read on their own to further their knowledge.
That's what I've done for over 60 years and will until I croak.
That's why I was far better read on history than one of my history "teachers" in 1971 who was a leftist shill.
Why aren't those of younger generations more curious?

My attitude about him changed the day in April 1972, when he said to me, "I'm really disappointed in you, for accepting that ROTC scholarship."
LOL, I've had difficulty with authority figures since then. After laughing in his face, I said "you realize I've got the most valuable scholarship in my class". Paid for 100% of my college education at Gonzaga.
My "issues" with authority figures continued in the military, particularly with micro-managing superiors who suffered from rectal-cranial infarction.
I know, I never would have made it to 1st LT in today's military.

I read approximately 5 hours a day, every day for the last 20 years. All history and current events. Fiction cannot even touch reality, which I read from age 4 to 44 app. I cannot get interested in fictional tales, they are mostly the same.

Well, I used to read voraciously, but have started back up again recently. I'm currently reading Enemies Foreign and Domestic. Some of the content seems really familiar, for some reason.
