Keller ISD has opted to remove all challenged books from its schools, seemingly voiding the results of a long and meticulous review undertaken by staff and parents.
Administrators at Dallas-Fort Worth's Keller ISD announced Tuesday that the district will pull all books challenged within its system—a sweeping action that includes the removal of all variations of the Bible and a graphic novel depicting the life of Anne Frank. The move is a seemingly abrupt course reversal for the district, which began a high-profile and months-long review of challenged works in its schools following a Texas Education Agency investigation into alleged sexual explicit materials found in its curriculum.
The Dallas Morning News' Taila Richman reports that an email sent Tuesday to school principals by Jennifer Price, curriculum director of Keller ISD, relayed a new directive that urged staff to pull all titles flagged for review by day's end regardless of past recommendations made during the review process.
"I need all books pulled from the library and classroom," Price wrote, per Richman. "More information will be sent regarding action for these books...once this has been completed, please email me a confirmation. We need to ensure this action is taken by the end of today."

So We the People lost WWII
I am sure these nitwits will soon feel the wrath of their constituents.
Once again, Keller has new guidelines to address complaints about books. They pulled every book, including The Anne Frank diary, that got a complaint. They will review each book, and if it meets current guidelines, place it back on the shelf. Every complaint gets equal treatment. The world is not on fire.
Yes. I’m sure Christian orientated literature will receive a fair and considerate review from ‘the board.’
Is the Koran still allowed?
A porno comic take off depiction of the Andde Frank Diary.
I think parents are finally speaking up....and the boards are even listening.
The process of dumbing down continues, and people wonder why a mail order president falls down on the job. Unfortunately, it may get worse as this country has seen its better days.
Texas!!
Are we losing or what?
Howabout I challenge the Koran? Is that in the library?
Well, sort of.
The children of Fascists are in control of the WEF and the World Bank and they still want to rule the World.
They have agents in many Federal and State government positions, the media and academia.
USA stood in their way the last time they tried, Lots of our blood was spilled and almost all of those who fought are gone now. (my father died in March of 2021)
Yes. I have no problem with the ‘Anne Frank porn’ getting pulled... question would be why it was there to begin with? To pull every single controversial book though? What I would propose is making critical thinking courses compulsory.. and starting early in the process... not Sr. High School when the ruts the mind runs in are already well grooved...
Let’s all be stupid together.
What about the Communist manifesto?
I don’t care if the Koran is there.. or any other tradition...
It is not the original version of The Diary of Anne Frank. It is a fag version. As far as the Bible, it will go back on the shelves.
Marx is political and economic philosophy... not usually a subject that is even covered in grade school. If Marxism is covered, criticism of Marxism should be too.
