If they are choosing someone of a certain race just to “shake things up” it will usually be garbage.
But if they choose the best actor regardless of their race, it will usually be good.
Having said all that, I get annoyed by nearly all couples in movies being mixed race now, nearly every romantic scene being gay, gays being in nearly 100% of all movies, and women with no super powers throwing MASSIVE men around like stuffed animals.
How about the new Batgirl movie? Are you saying it's a bad movie?
Bingo! The very reason I avoid most of what they produce. The reason my TV hasn't been powered up and displaying "broadcast" TV since 1999. I encounter it periodically on the TV screens at Applebee's. It just affirms my resolve to not waste power running the boob tube at home with that content source.
