I had already totally stopped watching network TV by the time Al Franken’s Stuart role was a feature. I saw the movie Stuart Saves His Family and have it on DVD. I really like it. Clever and well written.
Probably based on some addiction Franken personally fought with the 12 Step intervention shown in the movie for the father. Never revealed to my knowledge.
Spoiler: The father resents the family intervention and says if he had to turn into the wimpy liberal caring group leader he’s choosing prison. Funny.
I am mostly biased and prejudiced. Rock groups, comedians, TV and movie stars, authors and so on can be politically anathema to my beliefs but I can accept their artistic outputs’ good qualities (before opposing them in a brutal rerun of the 1860s soon, of course, if they insist on it.😁😇)
I don’t mind celebs, rock stars, TV and Movies stars being political, just don’t do it MY DIME.
If I go to a concert, play you music an don’t try to preach to me.
If I go to your movie, don’t make it about your pet political cause.
If I watch you on TV, I can turn the channel or turn you off..............................................
