Since the original innocuous tweet 48 hours ago, from a private account, which did not even use the name “Trump,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been absolutely silent about the illicit FBI raid on the home of Florida citizen and former President Donald J Trump. DeSantis is showing us all who he really is; but are you willing to accept it?
The raid on President Trump’s home is a moment for all to stand and take a position. On the day after the raid, much like the entire DC Decepticon establishment, Ron DeSantis hid in the bunker and kept quiet. No tweets. No appearances. Nothing that would create a situation where he would have to enter this ‘time of choosing.’ This is what politicians do. This is what Nikki Haley does. Avoiding controversy is not what war time leaders do.
On the second day after the raid, again with the politics of the issue as the dominating consideration, DeSantis releases a recording of a statement as Florida schools begin to open for the fall semester. Again, avoiding any situation where he would be asked to take a position on the raid. Please take note and pay attention. These are the moments that matter, the examples that show the true intents and motives of political leaders.
DeSantis is doing what he has been advised to do.
The silence of DeSantis is deafening.
DeSantis’ supporters, cheerleaders, GOPe promoters and sycophants will ignore it, but deep in their psyche they know what I am saying is true.
Ron DeSantis is a good governor for the state of Florida and has many attributes that make him important for a host of reasons, but this is not a war-time general. Ron DeSantis is a politician.
Accept things as they are, not as you would wish them to be. Because this is the same man that many people would select to face the greatest enemy to our republic. DeSantis is showing us right now that he does not possess the courage, desire in scale, or ability to fight the enemy we face in this battle.
DeSantis is a good finisher, a good maintainer, a good and solid ally who operates well when surrounded by the fortune of an aligned legislative body; but he is not yet the weapon that can stop the corrupt UniParty enemy within our republic.
There are moments that show the character of the politicians in the club apparatus. The pathetic and embarrassing Ted Cruz speech at the 2016 RNC nominating convention was one of those moments. The response, or lack thereof, to an illegitimate FBI raid on the personal home of the leader of the republican party is yet another.
Accept things as they are, you will be far less disappointed later on.
This kind of stupidity is why I stopped reading CT.
So am I to make it out that Ron is leading from behind? So someone shoots the king you wait and see just how badly wounded he is before you do something. Especially when it’s in your backyard and you own every freaking inch of real estate in that state.
No. Ron is waiting to get more FACTS before making a FURTHER statement. He doesn’t want to join the talking heads, media blabbermouths, speculators and agenda driven idiots while information is still coming out. His statement was correct and supported Trump. Trump is not wounded - to the contrary.Go have a nice cold beer and relax.
Trump also doesn’t have to indenture himself to big money donors.
OK I feel so much better now the next time you talk to Ron tell him I love him I really do. As a matter fact I want him to be the first American of Italian descent to become President of the United States but he’s going to have to exhibit a little more enthusiasm and drive and command of the situation before he gets my full attention.
That tops the list and why they hate him so much. They have no control ver min with their donations.

DeSantis has a net worth of $300k and change. He can't afford to go up against the federal legal system. This is why I have always thought of him as a VP candidate and not a legitimate Presidential candidate. He needs more time navigating the National Press on national issues before he will be ready for President.
There may also be a conflict of his position as Governor. I would find it hard to believe that the FBI did not notify the Governor and State Police of their intention to RAID Mar-a-lago. He may feel that his hands are tied by the fact he had to cooperate with the whole charade.
I would hope that he sent letters of criticism to FBI chief Wray, AJ Garland and President Brandon, immediately upon notification of their intent. Did he even place a call to the President when he found out?
If he wasn't notified then this looks really bad for him not to complain in an official capacity to said federal officials. I mean really a former President is raided in his state and he received no prior notification?
Don't get me wrong he's a great Governor. But he seems to have made a mistake somewhere along the line on this one.
You post makes me more wary of DeSamtis, who may feel safe in his current position, but not reliable if put in the position of standing against the array of Leftist might, opposition, and flame throwing.
Unlike Trump who had no political career to lose, DeSantis may not be willing or able to lose his political career which is EXACTLY what is needed here, not unlike out Founders who were willing to give up “our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor” (The Declaration of Independence).
Sometimes we need to be willing to give up everything for freedom and independence. God help us to do just that.
Thinking some more about your comment. The raid happened in Florida. And DeSantis can throw some weight around in Florida. But he’s relatively quiet still.
