The most consequential development in a Republican primary this week did not come on Tuesday, but the day before, at Mar-a-Lago.
If there was ever a lane for a Trump-y — but not Trump — Republican in the 2024 presidential primary, it now appears to be that much narrower.
“Completely handed him a lifeline,” groused one Republican strategist who advises a potential rival to Trump in 2024. “Unbelievable … It put everybody in the wagon for Trump again. It’s just taken the wind out of everybody’s sails.”
For any other Trumpian candidate, the strategist said, “It’s over.”
John Thomas, a Republican political strategist who had been organizing a PAC to support DeSantis in the event he runs in 2024, said on Tuesday, “We can hang it up.”
“It couldn’t be clearer,” he said. “If Trump wants it at this point, I don’t see how it’s not his … It’ll be a coronation at this point, not a primary.”
Republicans seemed to know this Tuesday, and not just at the national level. In a Republican Party enamored by Trump’s grievance politics, the FBI search cast him more plainly than ever as a politician persecuted by the left.

After the farce at Mar-A-Lago on Monday, I’m probably not the only American who will never vote for a lawyer or “law enforcement” officer for President.
You should have found yourself a candidate from a more respectable line of work — like an arsonist or child molester.

No. We are enamored of Trump's efforts to run the country for it's deplorable citizens rather than the glamorous and admiral able army of aliens who crossed boarders into our country to claim the enormous cash bonanza offered up by a deepstate that would rather govern for them than us.
It was already over, they just couldn’t see it.

When Hercules realized this strategy did not, could not work, he seized the giant and held him away from contact with the earth, and the giant’s strength swiftly ebbed away, until Hercules could finally throttle Antaeus, and thus defeat him.
The struggle between President Trump and the Deep State shows many similar parallels, and may have to end the same way.
I leave it up to you, to decide if Trump is Hercules, or Antaeus.
They actually really do persecute him over and over and then blame him for the fact they do what they do. Then they claim that it is Trump playing grievance politics. Even if he did that, I myself, fault no person who sees an opening from his persecutors and uses it it to nail them to the wall.
Hasn’t dawned on them yet that it is quite possible to ignore him and support their own candidate who could easily be popular by appealing to the voters instead of the Uniparty.
As for the RATS, they make it easy for Trump with their inept fool of a fake POTUS and policies right out of 1984 and Atlas Shrugged.

Every bit of effort needs to go to rooting out voter fraud and securing the next election. If we get Trump, which I want, and we let the RHINOs and Commie Dems steel the election it is over. They are already setting up the Narrative that he will lose again. We are dealing with absolute demons and the intend to rule us and if they can’t rule us they will kill us.

I was starting to lean towards DeSantis in 2024, but this FBI raid, sanctioned by Biden and the DOJ, has turned me around.
I really, really want to see Trump get back in for four more years to kick the Dems’ rotten, putrid asses.

I worked in Republican war rooms. I know consultants. Consultants are for consultants PERIOD. For the most part they are backstabbing scum.
At this point in a cycle their only concern is getting hired by candidates some of whom are fools and believe they can actually win. Those people are the prime targets for the consultant vultures who lie them into a sometimes expensive campaign that the consultant knows is going nowhere.
