TikTok is facing calls to remove videos of an outspoken influencer and ex-Big Brother star who has been accused of spreading misogynistic 'rape culture' content to audiences as young as 13 on the platform. Raised on an estate in Luton, Bedfordshire as the son of a catering assistant and an American-born chess master, former kickboxer Andrew Tate, 35, is no stranger to controversy.

This Mr. Tate has come out of nowhere to dominate the Manosphere. He had a debate with this male feminist. I watched a few minutes. Imagine the opposing sides creating a caricature of the other side. Also, when your noteworthiness contains the word “influencer” it means that somehow you were pushed to the top of the algorithms. Sometimes things go up and down the algorithm organically, sometimes it is the result of a coordinated marketing campaign, sometimes it is the result of government nudging.
