Is anyone else having outages, due to bad weather, on Verizon Wireless?
I wonder if anyone knows a good way to contact these idiots. Idont fully trust their robocall that tells us 18 hours later the area is still having Verizon outage.
I’d like to get real people to talk to.
Wow, what kind of thrashing was that? And what for?
FYI, Verizon has the cursed landlines that CANNOT run the old way on their own power.
SHE HAS LANDLINES, AND THE CELL PHONES ARE THE ONLY THINGS WORKING NOW.
Thanks a lot for your slam.
Having spent most of my career in the service industry, I can vouch for that. Calling the office all irate and "giving them a piece of your mind" will accomplish nothing. You will be speaking to drones with headsets who have absolutely nothing to do with getting your issue fixed. All they can do is open a ticket or case number and move on to the next caller. If you get especially angry, you might find your call getting disconnected...oops.
It's even worse with the utilities during a storm-related power outage. Trust me, the utilities are going to know when your power or your cell service is shut off. Without you even calling them, they are going to assign work crews and prioritize accordingly. Typically those in the least populated areas are going to get their services restored last. It's just the way it is.
So in these situations, you just need to relax, light your candles and find a nice book to read.
The point was, Verizon is HORRIBLE. They do everything to hide even telephone contact. Much less real people on the telephone.
As to that uncalled-for post crapping all over me when I’m just asking for help and advice to get thru to them, it IS worthwhile talking to real people, and they DO know what you’re up to - that’s why they have contact information on peoples’ accounts! (And where did you see that I’d be giving them a piece of my mind - yet?)
Don’t believe me? I talked last night - bedtime - to BGE Home (former part of Baltimore Gas & Electric), from my house, not hers, and got them to set up a service visit for moms AC which was also killed.
I’ve dealt plenty with various corps. Verizon is the worst “customer service”.
I sent you a link for Chevy chase Md
It also has info on how to contact
Verizon is having problems on the eastern seaboard
Yes, I believe that, but it seems to be spotty.
E.g., some people in OUR (buried) neighborhood are out - but we never were on this end.
Plus, my mom did not lose BGE power - blew some breakers but they reset, and seems to have blown AC and Verizon FIOS.
So, I cannot be sure yet if it’s Verizon as a whole, or her boxes alone that are blown out.
Actually, if we can get over there once the AC people come we may be able to do the DYI checks, which may indicate what exactly is wrong. But remotely, I can’t raise anything useful.
As to Chevy Chase - yes, I just don’t see anything about how you put in your location. We would be Columbia but I see nothing about enter your own zip, etc.
