BREAKING: Trump-Endorsed Tudor Dixon Wins Michigan GOP Gubernatorial Primary

Tudor Dixon is projected to win the Michigan Republican gubernatorial primary, according to Decision Desk HQ.

As of 9:18 p.m. Eastern, Dixon has won 42.5 percent of the vote with 13 percent estimated in. Her nearest challenger, Garrett Soldano, is trailing at 19.3 percent.

Other candidates in the race include Kevin Rinke, Ryan Kelley, and Ralph Rebandt.

Dixon received a last-minute endorsement from the former president on Friday, July 29, RedState reported.

The projected nominee spoke with RedState on Saturday about her candidacy, and how she is focused on using her manufacturing background to boost the state’s economy.

From that interview:

CA: How do we bring back manufacturing jobs to the U.S., and how do you plan to make Michigan really the gold standard for manufacturing as governor?

TD: We need to be friendly to the job creators and make sure that they feel that they have a friend in the government in Michigan, and that’s not happening right now. Even if you talk to the automotive industry, which is our legacy industry here in the state of Michigan, they’re even looking outside of the state of Michigan when they’re building new factories.

Even if it’s going to be a U.S. factory, it’s not coming to the state of Michigan anymore. The reasoning behind that is that the regulatory system in Michigan is just so bloated and out of control. They’ll tell me these are our largest industries, but even our smallest industries are telling me that if they wanna expand[…] the government will say, “You know, it’s gonna take a long time for us to get the permits. You might be able to break ground in eight months and then start making product within a year.” Whereas our neighboring states, and some of our Southern states, are saying, “We’re gonna help streamline the process. We’re gonna come alongside you. We know you’re in a race in manufacturing, and we wanna make sure that our state is the place for you to be, and we’re gonna have you break ground right away.” That’s not happening in Michigan.

The businesswoman will face off against incumbent Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in November. Cook Political Report rates the race as Lean Democratic, according to Dave Wasserman.

I've seen enough: Tudor Dixon (R) wins the #MIGOV GOP primary and will face Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) in the fall. @CookPolitical November rating: Lean D.

As this is breaking news, RedState will provide further updates as they become available.

So that means she’s a RINO?

Does she control Google too?

I’m pretty sure she was born in Michigan. If that’s not true, can someone control where they were born?

President Reagan was born in Illinois. So he obviously was a RINO/GOPe…….

Dixon has the strictest abortion stand than any of the other Candidates.
No abortions, period.

She’s pro gun, pro business, for less government and lower taxes.

What else do we need?

She has two different bios. She is an actor, successful in the “steel” industry in Michigan. There is no “steel” industry in Michigan.

No steel industry in Michigan??

Ever hear of the Motor City??
Where, please tell me, do you suppose the steel comes from for cars and trucks?? Magical Fairies?

I grew up in Detroit near a Chrysler assemble plant and a GM plant. A mile from them were 2 raw steel plants that melt steel and form it into ingots. Always amazed to watch them pour a giant kettle of liquid melted steel using a crane into molds.

On the Westside of the State are a lot of Steel manufacturers. Because they use the Great Lakes to transport it.

Tudor Dixon’s Dad’s plant is in there too.

I don’t know where you’re from, but everyone in Michigan and especially in the Detroit area are fully aware of our Steel Industry.

While looking for some kind of whacked out Conspiracy, you miss the obvious.

Good grief……..”no steel industry in Michigan”……..just wow.

I don’t use Google. They’re unreliable, bias and spy on every thing you do on-line.

Perhaps that’s your problem here.
