Thugs are robbing in the suburbs knowing the Soros DA won't touch them once they get into Jackson MS.

One of young scholars killed a postman.

Needs some national attention.

Dollars to doughnuts the runner wasn’t running because of a speeding ticket.

I am sure he was wanted for something else.

I agree about not chasing for minor minor traffic offenses. There has to be a stopping point for these chases. Is it worth this postal worker dying for someone else’s misdemeanor? Really? There has to be some kind of compromise. ?????

The DA has no connection to Soros. He was appointed by Republican governor Phil Bryant.

We renew our request to the state Legislature to restrict the offenses for which multi-jurisdictional pursuits can occur in the City of Jackson."

Sounds like Jackson is a sanctuary city for criminals. And they have petitioned the Legislature before to protect their criminals. But, I forgot, #ComDem's are Above the Law.

In this case, a life was lost. Very tragic. Now they should try to punish the driver who caused the death.

“ In 2020, the city’s homicide rate reached its highest in history with 79.69 homicides per 100,000 residents, with a total of 128 homicides.[91] Of major U.S. cities, only St. Louis surpassed Jackson’s homicide rate.”

I would think that unlawfully killing a uniformed federal employee in the course of his official duties (in this case driving a marked government vehicle) should be a federal crime, in addition to a state crime. Anyone out there know if it is?.

If they don’t charge felony murder the Prosecutor needs to be recalled.

Brandon Andrews, 20, of Flowood, was arrested after the crash that killed Brad Pennington, 32, a mail carrier since 2015.

According to the city of Pearl, Andrews is out on bond for a felony charge in Flowood for allegedly selling narcotics while in possession of a firearm and a stolen firearm. He is suspected of kidnapping and murder in Jackson and was charged in 2021 in Hinds County in connection with an armed robbery and shooting into a vehicle.

In many states, eluding law enforcement with a vehicle is a felony, so that alone is not a minor offense. Also, the article does not say why the perp was being pulled over for in the first place. Mind you, the police often has info about an individual before they attempt a traffic stop, such as a drug deal, smuggling dope or what have you. In their initial reports they often say they were being pulled over for speeding, unlawful lane change or defective equipment when they know the perp just left a known drug house. Then after the stop they tell the public that drug dogs alerted to the vehicle that prompted a search of the vehicle , its called probable cause but they need a reason to pull you over off the hiway.
