This protracted and uninspiring leadership campaign is a final insult to the public
Conservative Party Leadership is an oxymoron.
All candidates are globalist stooges. Takes yer pick.
I recall the story about the rise of Margaret Thatcher. She was at a Leadership meeting and various members had stood up and dithered about this and that issue as they were trying to get a full program or platform together.
She stood up and walked to the podium and taking a large book she was carrying she raised over her head and slammed it down on the podium forcefully declaring, “This is What We Believe.”
The book was Hayek’s “The Constitution of Liberty.”
Why doesn’t Nigel Farage be selected as PM? Maybe they will need a Churchill moment for that to happen—But, its coming.
Farage is not a member of UK Parliament.
I don’t think he’s in the Conservative Party. He left it at one point and formed a new party - UK Independence Party (UKIP) from 2006 to 2009 and 2010 to 2016 and Leader of the Brexit Party (renamed Reform UK in 2021) from 2019 to 2021.
I don’t believe he ever returned to the Conservative Party.
