The latest cause celebre for leftists in Minnesota is the case of Tekle Sundberg. Sundberg tried to murder a young woman, Cassandra Yarbrough, whom he apparently did not know. Police were called, Sundberg fired repeatedly from within an apartment, there was a standoff that lasted for hours, officers tried to negotiate with Sundberg and brought in family members to try to persuade him to surrender. Under circumstances that are not yet clear, officers eventually shot and killed Sundberg. My colleague David Zimmer, a veteran of 37 years in law enforcement, has a sober and unbiased review of the facts as we know them so far.
Unfortunately, the usual race hustlers have gotten involved. The detestable Benjamin Crump has turned up, purporting to represent Sundberg’s family. And yesterday a group of mostly-white leftists protested at the apartment building where the incident took place. No doubt they were surprised to be confronted by Cassandra Yarbrough, the woman whom Sundberg was trying to kill. She expressed strong disapproval of their demonstration. Her reminders that Sundberg tried to murder her, in front of her two small children, were greeted with shouts of “liar!”–somewhat ironic, since she was there, and they weren’t–and “shut up,” the main liberal argument these days:

Liberals have gone stark, raving mad on crime. It is obvious, even without recent election results, that other than felons, liberals speak for only a tiny fraction of the population on this issue. Least of all do they speak for the victims of black crime, who are overwhelmingly black themselves. Kudos to Ms. Yarbrough for standing up against the liberals.

On Wednesday evening 7/13/22, Minneapolis Police were called to an apartment building at 904 21st Ave So. on a report of a man, later identified as Andrew Tekle Sundberg, 20, shooting a gun in the building. When the police arrived, Sundberg began firing rounds through the wall and door of the apartment he was in. Officers worked to evacuate building residents while containing Sundberg in the apartment. SWAT and Crisis Negotiators were called to the scene.
Negotiations with Sundberg worked towards a peaceful surrender and included bringing Sundberg’s parents to the scene to communicate with him. Unfortunately for all involved approximately 6 hours into the standoff, for reasons that are not yet public, Sundberg was shot and later died at Hennepin Healthcare, HCMC.
KSTP quoted an anonymous witness as saying this of the police response:
“Every three to five minutes they announce, ‘Hey, we want to talk to you,’” the neighbor said of police. “They even brought in his family involved … they tried to talk to him … they did every precaution necessary.”A check of Minnesota court records does not show a criminal history or civil commitment history for Sundberg, though this remains inconclusive.
The woke leftard is the biggest hypocrite on the planet. If any of them experienced what this victim went through they would have the same reaction as she. The woke leftard is an emotionally driven by agenda zombie with deficient logic and wayward moral compass. Only personal severe pain has the chance to properly reset them but even that is no guarantee.

Thought at first the white guy was Mr. Sundberg, the father. I was wrong, it was another fat white guy out their protesting.
Sundberg was adopted from Ethiopia when he was 4, and was one of eight children in the Sundberg family, which includes biological children and several adopted children.
If one of my two biological sons were killed in a shootout with the police, they know I would not be protesting, but apologizing for raising a pure idiot and villain. (This does not include false flag ATF or FBI operations, which the Tekle issue was not.)

When a black family calls in Crump, they are looking for a big payout. They are trying to get rich off their own flesh and blood that made very bad choices.
