Russia cut off gas supplies to Europe for 10 days due to maintenance of the Nord Stream gas pipeline

The closure for 10 days of two pipelines, announced long ago, should in theory have been a technical formality. But in the context of the war in Ukraine and the fight between Russia and the West on energy, nobody can predict what will come.

Europe fears that Russia will extend scheduled maintenance to further restrict Europe’s gas supply, disrupting winter storage plans and exacerbating a gas crisis that has prompted emergency measures by governments and painfully high bills for consumers. consumers.

i think russia is hoping to continue doing business with germany once this blows over, if it does.

i suspect germany, or at least some elements in it, would like this too.

this maintenance is getting a lot of hype for something that apparently happens every year.

if they turn things back on on schedule or close, I guess this gets memory-holed.

Bitches that are dependent on somebody else to live get pimp slapped when they lip off. Trump tried to tell Germany that they shouldn’t become dependent on Russian oil and gas and they laughed at him so this is what they get.

Well with the shutdown, I guess James Bond has to wait 2 weeks to get the defective Russian General out of Russia using the pipeline. Whatever shall we do?

Tantrum over: Canada to return disputed Russian gas turbine to Germany

Ottawa will send the Russian gas turbine to Germany to avoid breaching its own sanctions (it probably kills that socialist creep Castro’s son, Justin Trudeau having to do this)

The Canadian government has decided to sidestep its own restrictions by returning crucial equipment, needed for maintenance on the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline, to Russia via Germany, despite criticism and pressure from Ukraine. Canadian Minister of Natural Resources Jonathan Wilkinson announced the move on Saturday evening, insisting it would guarantee “Europe’s ability to access reliable and affordable energy as they continue to transition away from Russian oil and gas.”

The decision follows Berlin’s pleas for Ottawa to return Russian gas pipeline components amid a growing energy shortage. In the meantime, according to Reuters and Ukrainian news outlets, the government in Kiev was pressuring Canada not to return the equipment, arguing that the precedent would erode anti-Russia sanctions.

Well, well someone is caving and I would bet that Germany will be paying with Rubles.

For any country to prosper and grow it has to have plentiful, reasonably priced sources of energy available, otherwise it is just a matter of time before it is doomed to fail, and Germany is a good example.

Looks like Germany may have woke up just in time and convinced Canada ( or the screwed up west) to release the repaired equipment which more or less was held hostage and is needed for moving the stream of gas from Russia to Germany. The West knows only too well if Germany goes down the tube, many others will follow.

It probably kills this liberal idiot Justin Trudeau that he has to return the repaired gas turbines.

The Berlin Blockade started when the Soviets stopped rail traffic into the city to "repair a bridge."

Déjà vu?

Your post on July 5 to JonPreston (https://freerepublic.com/focus/news/4076173/posts?page=5#5):

actually i think russia intends to continue doing business with germany when this is over, and factions in germany intend to as well. the planned maintenance is being used for press purposes. apparently this happens every year.

Cut-and-paste troll / bot / Russia shill!
