I personally know four people who died from COVID and two people who died within two weeks of getting the COVID vaccine. All were in their 70s or 80s. Purely anecdotal evidence, but by my personal count, the vaccine has so far “only” been half as lethal as the virus itself.
I also know countless people who caught COVID after never being vaccinated (including my wife and me) or who caught COVID after being fully vaccinated, all of whom fully recovered. Again purely anecdotal, but I have not seen any difference between the numbers of unvaccinated and vaccinated people who have caught COVID or the severity of their symptoms.
