Canned climate official was right, consumers suffer the most.

Remember David Ismay?

He was [Massachusetts’] $130,000 a year climate change czar — a mini-John Kerry — who was forced to resign after he was inadvertently caught telling the truth.

He revealed how the Green anti-fossil-fuel movement wants to punish you to save the planet.

Ismay, speaking to a virtual meeting of the Vermont Climate Council last year on gas and oil emissions, said, “Sixty percent of our emissions that need to be reduced come from you — the person across the street, the senior on fixed income.”

If that was not damaging enough, he added, “There is no bad guy left, at least in Massachusetts, to point the finger at, turn the screws on and, you know, break their will so we have to break your will. I can’t even say that publicly.”

Unfortunately for Ismay a U.S. Naval Academy graduate and Navy Seal, his comments were recorded by the Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance, a conservative group opposed to Gov. Charlie Baker’s Transportation and Climate Change Initiative and offshore wind farms.

Ismay resigned after Baker took issue with his remarks.

Yet, in retrospect, Ismay was telling the truth when he talked about who would carry the burden for Joe Biden’s half-baked, premature and ill-conceived war on fossil fuel.

In his equivocating letter of resignation, he said, “Although my comments were interpreted by some as placing the burden of climate change on hardworking families and vulnerable populations, my intent was the opposite.”

The truth is that it is the hardworking families of the country who are paying for Biden’s ill-planned war on fossil fuel. They are paying for it every time they gas up or go to the grocery store.

Ismay should have stuck to his guns. He was right before he was wrong.

And so, having been caught, he lied like a rug.

Global Warming PING!

This is the goal, destroy the middle class.

Same goal as the shutdowns. Destroy small businesses — who do not favor commie trash crappola.

The climate change.
If not outright hoax, then the cure is a lot worse than the disease!
Ho doubt about that!

$130,000 is not much for MA, that’s like $65,000 in a smaller industrial area in the South.

People who see the world in a certain way tend to think everyone else sees it that way too. Therefore, they are comfortable telling the truth. In WWII there was a famous meeting in Berlin where they discussed the Final Solution. Someone tried to admonish them to speak more in code. The response was, there are no enemies here. We are all onboard with this mission. There were people high up in the Nazi party who were not on board and who worked from within to subvert the cause. This will always be true in any large operation of any type. I was in two companies where the CEO tried enacting plans and policies that might have saved us only to have those plans and policies sabotaged by people who would eventually lose their jobs as a result.

My mother said, “You listen to what people say. They’ll tell you how they’ll treat you. It’s up to you to believe them and take appropriate action.” Biden said, “You better believe if you vote for me gas prices are going up.” Damn! I couldn’t believe anyone would vote for him. Of course, I thought the same about if-you-like-your-doctor-you-can-keep-your-doctor Obama. At least he had the courtesy to lie to us.

If the government is so damned worried about CO2, just plant lots of trees. Trees love CO2.

When I worked in the hinterlands of China in the mid 70s, I was at the intersection of three provinces. The locals could not travel to either of the adjoining provinces without internal travel papers. It was SO weird!

My maternal GrandFather hated FDR and the democrats and what they did re our rights during WWII.

He was a firm believer in raising your own garden veggies, raising your chickens for eggs and meat and buying a quarter or a half of beef and a pig. My grandmother was a great cook canned veggies and meats throughout the year.

He felt if they, FDR/Truman/?? could ration your food and gas for your truck/car, they could control where you lived and worked and where to bury you.

He told his adult children and the grandkids over 16 to buy a good used car and keep it in good shape. From teens to adults, never be without a good vehicle.

He saw the depression destroy people who couldn’t drive away to another state to get a job. The best deal was if your company provided a vehicle. Even then you should have you
own dependable vehicle.

My wife’s folks and relatives felt the same way about having
a reliable vehicle. Our mothers kept their vehicles to the end of of their lives into their mid to late 80’s.

My mother lived in a good retirement home, for the older generation. For some reason their food on Wed and Sunday evening was not good. She loaded her car up with 5 seniors, and they went to cafeterias for their Wed meals and went for
fast food on Sunday’s. Both places gave them extras for snacks or whatever.

She and her friends used her car to get to see their doctors, dentists and PT people and didn’t have to wait for the retirement center minibus. They averaged about 25 miles a week. Sometimes they would decide to see a daytime movie at great prices. She drove just enough miles to keep her battery charged. A sibling and I paid for her AAA membership.

We recently gave our Honda Ridgeline to one of our adult kids. We couldn’t keep the battery charged with 2 vehicles.

That is saving us about $200 a month in insurance and upkeep. They didn’t get a loan and pay 40K plus for a new pickup.

As per our grandparents and parents, we will keep one good vehicle until we get called home for the last time.

Henry Ford understood how much Americans love the cars and need one for most of our adult lives.

$crew the Gorebull warmers and keep your gas powered vehicles.
