Actually they do have teeth from Gigantopithecus. Agreat ape that lived in Asia 300,000 years ago.

“Gigantopithecus is an extinct genus of ape from the Early to Middle Pleistocene of southern China, represented by one species, Gigantopithecus blacki. Potential identifications have also been made in Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. The first remains of Gigantopithecus, two third molar teeth, were identified in a drugstore by anthropologist Ralph von Koenigswald in 1935, who subsequently described the ape. In 1956, the first mandible and more than 1,000 teeth were found in Liucheng, and numerous more remains have since been found in at least 16 sites. Only teeth and four mandibles are known currently, and other skeletal elements were likely consumed by porcupines before they could fossilise.[2] Gigantopithecus was once argued to be a hominin, a member of the human line, but it is now thought to be closely allied with orangutans, classified in the subfamily Ponginae.”

“Gigantopithecus has traditionally been restored as a massive, gorilla-like ape, potentially 200–300 kg (440–660 lb) when alive, but the paucity of remains make total size estimates highly speculative. The species may have been sexually dimorphic, with males much bigger than females. The incisors are reduced and the canines appear to have functioned like cheek teeth (premolars and molars). The premolars are high-crowned, and the fourth premolar is very molar-like. The molars are the largest of any known ape, and have a relatively flat surface. Gigantopithecus had the thickest enamel by absolute measure of any ape, up to 6 mm (a quarter of an inch) in some areas, though this is only fairly thick when tooth size is taken into account.

Gigantopithecus appears to have been a generalist herbivore of C3 forest plants, with the jaw adapted to grinding, crushing, and cutting through tough, fibrous plants, and the thick enamel functioning to resist foods with abrasive particles such as stems, roots, and tubers with dirt. Some teeth bear traces of fig family fruits, which may have been important dietary components. It primarily lived in subtropical to tropical forest, and went extinct about 300,000 years ago likely because of the retreat of preferred habitat due to climate change, and potentially archaic human activity. Gigantopithecus has become popular in cryptozoology circles as the identity of the Tibetan yeti or the American bigfoot, humanlike creatures in local folklore.”

The above is from Wikipedia.
It is POSSIBLE that some crossed the land bridge to North America.

Actually I have read multiple reports of boogers chasing deer and the deer running too human hunters they find in the woods and standing or laying near the hunters.

I’m ambivalent about the video but I live in the mountains and there are strange things that have happened around my place that cannot logically be explained. One neighbor for miles and its my wife’s Mom a hundred yards away. We’ve had unexplained for lack of a better word samurai chatter that my entire family has heard, we have had the house struck in the middle of the night on more than one occasion and the strike hard enough to shake the house. The whoop sounds these things are supposed to make are heard regularly. We had our water hose turned on slightly one spring morning which was cold and the mist froze over our heat pump and a bunch of old Directv wiring ripped off the back of the house that same night. My son-in-law and I were removing the cable and securing existing cable and we hear rocks go whizzing by our heads which is unsettling.

My wife constantly comes in and says I heard what sounds like a wooden baseball bat hitting a tree when she is outside working in the yard or sitting on the porch. One knock, sometimes two or three she says and I ask her is it our friend woody the woodpecker and I get the look and response, I’ve lived here over twenty years and I know my animal sounds! I have had other family members walk the property looking for mushrooms in the spring and they report the same whoops and wood knocks. My wife is the biggest skeptic in the world for boogers. We had lots of activity until we got a dog and it slowed down significantly. The dog passed after twelve years and the activity ramped up again. I put up camera’s around the house and we got a couple more dogs and it’s dropped off. I have trail cams everywhere and I am not picking up people or anything unusual so I don’t think it is people messing around the houses. But the camera’s especially seem to deter a lot of the activity.

I don’t know if they exist or not but where we live is well off the beaten path and I can’t logically explain some of these things.

There are an awful lot of stories, going way back.

I’ve always thought that Bigfoot - whether an actual creature or some kind of atavistic psychic/psychological phenomenon - was a lot more believable than the notion that extraterrestrials are visiting us in little nuts-and-bolts spaceships.

Faked. The deer would have taken off due to the presence of that creepy “narrator” who just happened to be there.

In reading first nations accounts they talk of something they encountered like a bigfoot so there has to be something to this issue.

Frankly, I’m kind of the opinion with them of live and let live if they stay away from the house, if that is what they are.

One time I did use gunfire at an event that happened. 10:45 at night, June three day build up to the event. I would go outside on the porch and sit and my wife would put the kids to bed and then come out and we would sit and listen to the mountains. I would go out and nothing but the smell of the mountains, my wife would come out and within five minutes it was like smelling road kill and a dumpster in a July heatwave. I mentioned this to her on day three and she was like ha-ha funny, but acknowledged what was happening.

Finally on the third day something hit the back side of the house hard 10-12 times while my wife and I were sitting on the front porch. I had a .357 magnum and went to confront, yelled a warning and fired warning round into the ground. Wife retrieved an M1 carbine and I sent her and the .357 in the house to turn on the back porch light. As I approached in near darkness I head multiply heavy footfalls in the back yard. Again I yelled I am armed and hitting my house in the middle of the night will get your a$$ shot off! I got to the back and had one sliver of light on the ground from the front yard street light and I cranked off several rounds into that spot. I won’t shoot at something unless I know what it is. I heard footfalls for 2-3 more seconds, then silence. The light came on and I listened a few minutes then I heard what sounded like a freight train tearing through the woods paralleling my house and my mother-in-laws. Whatever it was it was headed into the deep mountains in June with lots of copperheads, rattlesnakes and bear thereabout.

The smell is why I thought the deer would run away :-).

Yes the TR story is compelling. My son is a local police officer and our property borders the national park and he was talking with one of the rangers and the conversation turned to weird things they both had seen and the ranger flat out told him he believed there were bigfoot in the park. He said he had been stationed a multiple parks in his career and based on the sounds he was hearing in areas where no people were around they are present.

I have another friend who works for the national park in maintenance and he told me about working this last spring in a picnic area early one morning. Him and another guy were trimming back some trees along a trail near this picnic area early in the morning, around 7:00am, no one was in the picnic area and he said they heard the sound of something ripping through the trees and a rock smaller than a baseball landed at their feet and rolled by them. Both stopped and looked and the other guy said did you hear and see that? Yes and he asked what throws rocks in the Appalachian mountains because there are no humans around here now? The other guy said you don’t believe in boogers do you and my friend replied, then you tell me what threw this? He said they finished up quickly and heard nothing else and left.

They seem to like throwing rocks and drumming on trees.

My mom had many of those things at the place she rented (not whizzing rocks or whooping) and we couldnt figure it out for the longest time. We always joked that it was bigfoot.

Especially showing up and pounding on the house in the middle of the night.

One night I finally caught sight of it. A giant honey colored raccoon was pulling the old wooden siding away from the house and would reach under there (to get bugs?) and let it slap back against the building.
