California Attorney General Leaks Names and Addresses of State’s Legal Gun Owners

The California Attorney General’s office leaked the names and addresses of the state’s legal gun owners.

The private information of California’s gun owners was posted in publicly-accessible files to the California Department of Justice’s 2022 Firearms Dashboard Portal, The Reload reported.

"We are investigating an exposure of individuals’ personal information connected to the DOJ Firearms Dashboard,” a spokesperson for the office told The Reload. “Any unauthorized release of personal information is unacceptable. We are working swiftly to address this situation and will provide additional information as soon as possible.”

Sick. I guess it similar here in PA to come think of it. The county sheriff issues carry permits. I would only assume that gets entered into a ton of databases. But it is easy enough to legally buy a rifle without a background check or any permits. Supposedly, the State Police doesn’t keep data from background checks made at gun stores. I have very little faith that’s the case tho.

The entire idea of a background check is unconstitutional when reading the Pennsylvania constitution. It is stronger than the 2nd amendment’s ‘shall not infringe’. PA’s constitution reads, ‘shall not question.’ That doesn’t mean a thing to the Democrat majority State Supreme Court.

I think it isn't leak but an intentional release. The web site is not working at the moment, but reportedly has complete information on firearms ID holders including name and address.
