Max Boot who is calling for direct US military involvement to defeat Russia and driven them out of Ukraine, is now setting up the argument for a totally different form of US Government. Basically, he's losing his mind over the recent Supreme Court decisions and is tired of small states having equal representation in the US Senate and wants something done about it.

The abortion ruling was the exact opposite of what the lying (or stupid) Max Boot says. ROE represented the tyranny of the minority, in which the court mandated abortion policy for the entire country. The recent ruling leaves the decision to the states and repealed not even the most extreme pro-abortion laws.

That would be a de facto dissolution of the Union. The small states did NOT sign on to that.

The 17th Amendment broke the Founder's design for Federalism since the Senate was always intended to represent each State's government, not the general population, as per Federalist 45 :
"The state governments may be regarded as constituent and essential parts of the federal government; whilst the latter is no wise essential to the operation or organisation of the former. Without the intervention of the state legislatures, the president of the United States cannot be elected at all. They must in all cases have a great share in his appointment, and will perhaps in most cases of themselves determine it.1 The senate will be elected absolutely and exclusively by the state legislatures."

Well, if the ‘large states’ aren’t getting the appropriate level of representation as smaller states, then they should be broken up to match the relative size of those other ones.
Clearly, they’re just TOO BIG.
And some are too small - lets just clump up those smaller ones in New England into one or two.

Boot is a professional grifter. Read his book from 1998 Out of Order: Arrogance, Corruption and Incompetence on the Bench. Back then he was decrying the liberal SCOTUS and Roe.
Now he’s saying the exact opposite as if he never wrote the 1998 book.
He tailors his beliefs and message to whomever is paying him at the moment.

Not when you consider that the United States is not one big blob but instead a collection of semi-independent states.
