The dimocrat run DOJ jumped on this to prevent Florida from taking it. Later on the DOJ will dismiss the charges or let it die quietly through inaction.

Gillum was the mayor of Tallahassee. Tallahassee is the capital of Florida.
Tallahassee locals knew how Gillum was a flaming homosexual. Somehow, the press didn’t report on that during any of Gillum’s campaigns.
Gillum won the Democratic nomination because of the efforts of the Bernie Sanders faction. Gwen Graham had been expected to prevail on the Democrat side of that ticket. Gwen is the daughter of Bob Graham who was a Florida governor and a US senator. Just think of it. Dynasties and dinosaurs.
