Despite all the effusive praise the brave Ukrainian military has received in the western press, extolling all the humiliating defeats the Ukrainians have dealt the Russians, the reality on the ground appears to be entirely in Russia’s favor. And that reality was acknowledged on a recent Council of Foreign Relations Zoom call by retired lieutenant general and former deputy commander of United States European Command Stephen Twitty, who told the other neocons on the call that Ukraine simply cannot win this war and needs to sue for peace as soon as possible.

Looking at the futile attempts of NATO to reinforce Ukraine which is overwhelming and just shy from boots on the ground, I am sure that Russia can take Germany quite easily, as long as it stays conventional.
Good finds. Excellent in fact.
I’m stealing it all.
LOL.
You sound like you are somewhere safe from combat and artillery.
Suing for peace with an invader is called “surrender” .
I’ve posted those 5 times and not once until you has anyone even commented.
I attribute that to the unfortunate but common habit of uninformed freepers to read nothing, to watch nothing, but to comment about everything...:-)
No critical thinking skills....just lots of feeeeelings...
Ukie MOD just stated they are losing 1,000 a day in the current Donbass pocket. A variety of reasons, killed, wounded, injured, illness, captured, desertions, and “ rebellion”. Info collaborated by a Pentagon report stating US intelligence has “ lost” the whereabouts of approximately 200,000 Ukie military.
Main contributing fact is the 24/7 non stop Russian artillery, Ukie Sec Defense and Defense not agreed at how much, one says 20 to 1 the other 40 to 1 and Ivan’s arty range is twice that of the Ukie tubes. The Ukies also reported all their Soviet weapon ammo of various calibers and types are near depletion.
Vlad destroyed all of the Ukies weapons manufacturing and production plants very early on.
Second contributing fact- Ivan has total air control over the east and is “ now” only launching 12-14 long range cruise missiles to western Ukraine with pin point accuracy.
Vlad had hurry up and finish the Donbass pocket ( the Independent Donbass provinces are 95 percent secured) and take Odessa before Z decides to negotiate a truce. Keep in mind, a truce is much different than an end of hostilities.
I don’t read all threads related to Ukraine, I don’t think anyone could, so they may have been on one of those threads or I missed them if they came along further down a thread I was reading afterI left.
Either way, what you posted was a gold mine. It’s sad no one has given you credit until now.
Again, thanks. ✌
I slow walked through this entire thread.
Reagan has nothing to do with this. It is the US Congress trying to prevent their detergent from getting out.
The USA has absolutely NOTHING to gain from this conflict.
That statement was directed not to you.
My apologies.
No problem. Everyone makes mistakes.
As with most cases, it is possible for more than one fact presented by both of the opposing sides in an argument, to be right at the same time. Here we have multiple overlapping narratives that are treated as contradictory because, quite frankly, people would be far more terrified if they weren’t.
Fact 1: Ukraine is going to lose this. By which I mean, Ukraine will either exist as a tiny hollowed out state, as a bigger rump with a puppet leader like Lukashenko, or not exist at all.
Fact 2: The West clearly was too busy enabling the kleptocracy and rejoicing in Yeltsin’s boozy surrender in the 90s to notice just how much this felt like a huge humiliation to ordinary Russians. Putin’s strongman image was the consequence.
Fact 3: If you still think Hunter Biden’s Laptop, Azov Nazis, UNGA’s disapproval, “Yes, in decades to come providing pigs fly and hell freezes over, Ukraine will join NATO” or EU membership ever made any difference to Putin, just listen to Putin himself. These are propaganda tools that we handed him on a plate; they are useful to his vision but they do not motivate it. The 90s demolition of the Soviet Union is the only poking this bear needs. That’s the fundamental flaw of “don’t poke the bear”. Like Dr Banner calmly explains just before he transforms into the Hulk, “I’m always angry”.
Fact 4: Divide and conquer is the oldest trick in the book. Why do you think Lavrov blamed NATO one minute, Europe the next, and UN after that? To feed all sides publicly and keep us fighting each other over which provocation did the worst damage. Putin must’ve pissed himself laughing.
Fact 5: Far from Russia feeling threatened over the last 15 years by naval-gazing and the occasional timid gumming it got from a mostly risk-averse club of toothless sheep, it used that time effectively. It has already executed campaigns in Georgia, Chechnya, and Crimea, with no significant international response.
Fact 6: Putin’s Peter the Great conversation is significant if you want to understand what’s REALLY been going on. Not only is this an empire of ethnonationalism, its an empire of land and resources. Russia can already manipulate the supply of fossil fuels, REMs, steel, grain and cooking oil into both Europe and the developing world; it can (and does already) use bribery and blackmail to get its own way. And that’s BEFORE securing full dominance over Europe’s largest bread basket.
Fact 7: If both Russia and China start manipulating WTO and global supply chains, setting up a parallel trade system for its allies, America will be completely screwed. Every country on earth that has a grievance against America will just do what Russia’s already doing in Europe, and with 2 superpowers to back them up you’ll be backpedalling for decades.
Fact 8: The Duma this week presented the domestic legal case for revoking Lithuanian independence from the USSR, and has withdrawn from human rights bodies. Actions like these show how little the norms established in 1945 are relevant to the NWO that’ll exist if Putin’s vision is delivered. China, India and Syria are probably on board already. You let Russia win here, forget peace in our time; any nation with a historical argument over territory will simply take a leaf out if Russia’s book.
Fact 9: The Duma shopping list of states to reconquer was codified further. It includes Khazakstan, Poland, Moldova, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and the Finnish and Swedish islands of the Baltic. We saw some of this on Lukashenko’s wall chart weeks ago but they were also discussed in Dugin’s vision years ago. None of this should surprise us, so why does it?

Fact 10: Despite all these facts now being fairly open, dimbulbs will continue arguing with each other over who to blame and why Ukraine should just surrender to genocide so everything can go back to Business As Usual. Sorry folks. Too late. That self-obsessed way of thinking is exactly what’s led us here.
The problem is, we should be talking about how far we are prepared to tolerate Russia and China having unchallenged control over global markets of existential commodities.
How many sovereign countries can the “West” throw to to the Rashist wolves to keep the lights on and keep the new cold war cold? How much credibility would we all lose if we betrayed our allies in that way? Is its ability to force a famine or conduct a genocide still a red line under that model? If NATO can’t afford to risk offending Russia in any way at all because we think they’ll just go straight to using tactical nukes then what’s the point of having it?
Which then should help answer the question, is $40bn REALLY a waste of money or is it chump change compared to the far greater costs if Russia succeeds in Ukraine, Moldova and the Baltic - and China follows the same approach to seize Taiwan, and North Korea (after joining the club) invades the South.
So the plan for ukranians is to fight to the last man and die? That’s a very good plan allright.
All I did was post what Twitty actually said from the same call. Instead of posting a misleading excerpt from a Russian propaganda video.
So is Twitty right or wrong?
Your "impressive guy" "NAILED IT" when he proposed using US and NATO naval ships to blockade the Russian ships in order for Ukrainians to be able to export from Odessa.
Not my idea, your "impressive guy" said that in the very call you are citing. Its in the transcript. Twitty NAILED IT.
“After 4 mobilizations Ukraine is now reduced to a new order to mobilize/register all women 18-60.”
Depraved if true.
All it takes is a minute of google searching to find that Chrisoforu and Moucuris have very close ties to Russian state media outlets.
Here is Mercouris' bio where he lists his position as "International Affairs Editor Russia Insider at Russia Insider"
Russia Insider is a front for Russia state media, and frequently re-posts material from RT. It is also involved in some networks of anti-Semitic websites, and linked to places like National-Justice.com, Truthtopowernews.com and therightstuff.biz which traffic in noxious content.
The Duran podcast is a great place to hear what the Russian propaganda talking points are.
“Some retired dipsh*t is not a “top U.S. military leader.”
My first thought too.
These Putinista numbnuts searched high and low to find a military Peter Principle result who says something they wanted to hear.
