The Washington Post desperately tried to protect President Joe Biden from the political fallout of a gas price spike that it pretended in 2020 wouldn’t happen under his leadership.
The Post’s liberal fact-checker Glenn Kessler once published a story in July 2021 headlined: “The bogus GOP claim that Biden is responsible for higher gasoline prices.” The newspaper’s leftist opinion columnist Jennifer Rubin wailed in March 2022 that Republican assertions blaming Biden for spiking gas prices were “untrue.” The Post even claimed May 31, 2022 that the surging gas prices stemmed from “factors beyond the president’s control.” But insulating Biden from any responsibility comes well after after a Nov.12, 2020 Post article that caricatured the entire idea of rising prices under Biden as conservative scare-porn altogether: “Conservatives predict gas prices will spike under Biden. Experts say those fears are overblown.”

When can we start hanging major sources of news for lying? When?
They know as much as Janet Yellen 🤪
What did Reagan say? I think it was, “The problem with our Liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.
WashPost is the same as Biden, and Biden didn’t want to scare people ahead of what he was about to do.
WashPost is nothing more than a water boy for the Biden administration. They’ll do whatever the Biden administration tells them to do or say.
Of course. I bet Jeff Bezo instructed the reporter to write that hit piece. He has everything to gain when people limit their travel. Just say in your hole and order everything you need from Amazon.
Those “experts” really need to find another look for another line of work, because they’re typically full of crap
If it was just gasoline, that would be uncomfortable for many, but tolerable. What’s unconsidered is the impact of diesel fuel increases on the delivery of virtually every item purchased by anyone. And the fertilizer impact of crunched nat gas supplies is crucial.
“Experts say those fears are overblown”
At this point it’s safe to say that at least 60% of the public doesn’t care about what the “experts” say anymore.
They were wrong about Russian collusion.
They were wrong about the origins of the coronavirus.
They were wrong about masks.
They were wrong about the vaccines working.
They were wrong about the side effects of the vaccine.
They were wrong about inflation.
They were wrong about the Hunter Biden laptop.
They were wrong about baby formula.
They were wrong about fuel costs.
Why should we listen anymore?
Ran into a couple of gas receipts from February 2020: 2.19 per gallon
Shortly after Biden’s grand larceny, election, on 1/28/21, I had an editorial page submission published which included the sentences “Say farewell to energy independence and moderate gas prices. And now your teenage daughter who is a promising athlete will have to defeat biological males pretending to be girls to claim a championship.”
Did I NAIL IT?
$0.30 more and here in San Antonio we’ll be at 3x the price as on Steal Day, 2020. Between this and food, it’s killing me.
***PHUCK*** Biden, and the Washington Puke.
They were wrong lied about the origins of the coronavirus.
They were wrong lied about masks.
They were wrong lied about the vaccines working.
They were wrong lied about the side effects of the vaccine.
They were wrong lied about inflation.
They were wrong lied about the Hunter Biden laptop.
They were wrong lied about baby formula.
They were wrong lied about fuel costs.
Why should we listen anymore?
We shouldn’t - instead, we should do the opposite that they say, as fast as possible.
FYI, they are also wrong on impending food shortages - so stick up and start a garden.
