The judges described how California’s legislature has wavered for years over whether or not to explicitly include invertebrates in the Act, presumably saving them the trouble of having to expand the definition of fish.

With regard to bees being an endangered species, isn’t this a clear case where the legislature should pass legislation on the subject of bees? How is it up to judges to change the definition of what a fish is? This is really a bizarre ruling.
