Imagine my surprise, okay SHOCK, when I scrolled down to the Politico Playbook Birthday List for May 31 and saw a VERY FAMILIAR name. Of course, as you can see I handled the surprise/SHOCK quite calmly and without any showboating.

BTW the reference to Steve Kane's wife and Tessio was because a few years ago Steve Kane confessed that one of the actors in the original "Godfather" movie stole his wife but that he did not want to name him because it was too painful for Steve to remember. Well, I thought I figured out who it was so I called up and told Steve it was Tessio. Steve did not know who Tessio was so I told him it was the character played by Abe Vigoda. Well, Steve and Brian Craig both burst out laughing and Steve confessed that it was really the actor who played Moe Green. I guess he didn't want the world to think that Abe Vigoda stole his wife and it was a lot less painful to admit it was the guy who played Moe Green.

Birthday wishes, are meaningless whey they are computer generated out of a birthday list and where there is no real personal connection. My medicare provider ‘wishes’ me happy birthday each time my birthday comes around. I never open those letters because they’re meaningless. I do the same with any automatically generated birthday cards that come from lists of companies where I was a customer.
