Memorial Day weekend is one where families often travel to meet relatives and friends, or travel to Washington DC to remember those who have died in the service of our country.
But traveling has gotten a lot more expensive under Biden. Gasoline prices are up 92.4% under Biden, while food prices are up 60%. Those hamburgers and hot dogs for grilling are being replaced by … pizza? Or maybe plant-based products.
Zillow’s Rent Index All Homes YoY was only 0.6234% in February 2021, and has soared to 16.36% YoY under Biden. That is an increase of 14.75x. So, not only is it much more expensive to travel on Memorial Day weekend, but it is far more expensive to stay home in your rental property.

The gas and food stats are changes in prices (although I haven't seen food up 60% across the board, so I might also call a foul for cherry picking), but the rent is a change in the rate of inflation. Why not go further and publish the third derivative of the price instead of merely the second?
The US dollar is not declining. Against the euro its 107 and against the yen its 127. Those are very high values over the past two decades. Gold is 1850 which is about the same over the past ten years. Its been as low as 1200 and over 2000.
The reality is that the rate of exchange with China is the same. But the cost of getting stuff from China has gone up. Thats fine. We are decoupling. Trump started it and Biden is continuing it. We should decouple. Gas could always go down if they drilled more. That is where Trump and Biden differ.

I stopped commenting on Democrat, Joe Biden and his “Destroy America Nation Republic” action. Biden is not only useless...he is owned from A-Z by both the Russians & Communist Chinese!!! I have flown all the warning flags possible....but, the USA people appear to love being used and abused and adore losing their freedom, liberty, opportunities and equality across the board. My great wife and I are hitting 82 years old....we have had a great life in this country paradise...the USA but she, this country, is dying with each passing day!!! Sad...for the USA, her people and her once great future!!! Well........The Roman Empire died, The Egyptian Empire perished and so can the once great, mighty, USA Republic!!! all we get is Biden in Texas, most likely looking at his watch as he when our dead boys & girls cam home from Afghanistan!!! You can’t look at a 15X increase in an INDEX! That is a ridiculous approach — rents didn’t go up 15X, some index did. What does it mean if an index changed 15X?
