Hydrogen fuel is gaining ground on the electric car idea jets are even using it and it’s only emissions is water from the exhaust.
Many companies around the world are picking up the pace even China is working on it.

Can’t some gear-head just manufacture a simple, old-fashioned ICE vehicle people can maintain themselves?

I remember all those guys building their own vehicles in their garage. We could sure use them now. Just make them a kit car or some other form of customization that can evade Fed Gov regulations.

Note: I’m not an engineer and actually don’t even drive. But I know all the males in my life would jump at the chance to own something simple they could maintain themselves.

The US energy grid efficiency to point of delivery is 33% multiply by 90% for an Electric Vehicle. That is now 30%. Then the effort to move substantially more weight for your batteries and Poof! There goes the EV pipe dream. Let alone the environmental catastrophe left behind by mining and the toxic battery waste...etc.

It has been estimated that if the entire county went EV we would need to expand the grid by a factor of 10. Lol! Ain’t gonna happen. The government forced EV program means a whole lot less folks are gonna be driving; or they plan on a whole look less folks being around to drive.
