Why didn't the GOP Establishment vet Barnette 13 months ago?

As Pennsylvania's May 17 primary election draws close, conservative media outlets have begun lobbing intense attacks at one candidate on the ballot. And no, it is not Lt. Governor John Fetterman, the far-left candidate who is poised to secure the Democratic nomination. Rather, their ire has been directed primarily at Kathy Barnette, a political commentator seeking the GOP nomination.

The headlines are downright vicious. "Pennsylvania GOP voters should kick Kathy Barnette to the curb" is one example, courtesy of the New York Post editorial board. Fox News host Sean Hannity devoted several minutes of his May 11 show to attacking Barnette's credentials. Around that time, Breitbart switched from positive coverage of Barnette to multiple headlines critical of her campaign, while writing a multitude of pieces praising her opponent, David McCormick, including a stunningly anecdotal analysis (relying primarily on interviews with voters who attended a McCormick rally), which concluded that "[d]roves of voters in Pennsylvania's Republican U.S. Senate primary are reportedly switching their votes from Kathy Barnette back to businessman David McCormick just days before the primary election.

Greg Kelly of Newsmax went farther, resorting to a wholly inappropriate personal attack, tweeting that Barnette, who is African-American, is a "CON WOMAN RACE CARD PLAYING SCAMMER." Their main criticism? Former President Donald Trump, who is backing Mehmet Oz, perhaps sums it up best with this statement: "Kathy Barnette will never be able to win the General Election against the Radical Left Democrats. She has many things in her past which have not been properly explained or vetted." In other words, she hasn't faced sufficient scrutiny in the primary and would therefore be too risky to run in the general election.

Because they were busy getting Parnell destroyed, then getting McCormick readied.

Oz, McCormick and Barnette all stink as candidates. We can thank the Pennsylvania GOPe for this debacle.

The GOP Establishment has no interest in helping Barnett getting elected. They would prefer a Democrat over Barnett in the unlikely event that Barnett wins the Primary.

The Pennsylvania GOP has been a clown show for as long as I can remember.

Many years ago a Republican “consultant” told me it wasn’t worth going after home schooler vote because they had no money....think about that.

The Pennsylvania GOP have always been corporate stooges, lackeys of Big Business. Barnette was given essentially a free pass because anyone smarter than a doorknob knew she would never withstand even the merest level if scrutiny. You’ve got a choice of a Bushie brown noser like McCormick or a complete wild card in Dr. Oz

I don’t give a damn about what the GOP establishment does, unless they are leaving. I can vet my own candidates. I don’t need GOP-e help.

That PA has only these 3 stooges to offer is a condemnation of “Republican”.

Where is the next team leader?
Where is the next gen Pol?

The problem is that Goobermint is seen as lifelong employmenet. They never plan on leaving, unless it’s feet first in a box.

A very good case for Term Limits.

“Why didn’t the GOPe vet Barnette months ago?”

Because they were not worried about her. She loses the primary, fine, good result. She wins and loses in the fall, also a good result for GOPe.

They have nothing to fear.

The Party was only thinking of candidates who would fit into the Old Boy Network. Assuming the plebes would follow along blindly as always.

It is TIME for citizens all across the USA to pick and choose their candidates..and not allow the Republican Party or the Main Stream Media, or the Special Interest groups select for us. Thank GOD for people who climb out from under a rock, and live on a pig farm...and rise to leadership. Sounds like a little sheperd boy with a sling shot who had no fear of a GIANT. WE THE PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF HARVARD GRADUATES. THEY GAVE US HILLARY... how about the school of hard knocks.

From her appearance on Bannon’s War Room, she looks damn good.

I’m new to her, still evaluating info on her.

The slams against her THAT I’VE SEEN so far are pretty flimsy and smell like Bush-Rove droppings.

But I haven’t seen everything yet.

And when I do see someone show dirt, I don’t always believe it’s true. I need to see it corroborated.

As far as Trump, although he’s a proven conservative, he’s also practical. He will make a “business decision” that goes against his ideals, but he always has a future move ready that modifies his decision in furtherance of his ideals.

Trump says Barnett can’t win. He’s not stupid. He has trusted advisors briefing him.

So someone please tell how is it that Barnett is a no-go, and please back it up with verifiable facts; NO GOSSIP, NO RUMOR MILL CHATTER.
