After years of wondering what caused the last couple of generations of kids to start speaking in such an irritating manner, like silly children, I finally made a short audio recording with an overview of the bad speech habits of young people and brief advice for breaking those habits.
Thank you!
The use of ‘I know, right?’ Right? Right? drives me inane as well.
Thanks for the video. It’s sorely needed.
Thanks, Skeeter!
Ya-know is a major part of the vocabulary of the “majority” of NBA players during their interviews.
The prominent one I noticed is beginning every sentence with “I mean...”.
I find it really annoying when someone uses an exaggerated version of the word “What.” Instead of simply saying “What?”, they say “Whhaaaatttt?”
I like your screen name, Fred! :-D
And “literally.” How they live to say “literallehhh…” and most of the time, they misuse it. I cringe when I hear a zillennial say “literallehhh…”
The habit of dropping consonants is nauseating. “I di-nt say that.”
Uck - I hate that!
I also hate the hard ‘d’ for those words. “Did-ent” of “would-ent.”
