Earlier this week New York Judge Arthur Engoron held Donald Trump in contempt and ordered a fine of $10,000 per day that he refuses to turn over documents to New York Attorney General Letitia James.
During a hearing on Monday, the judge considered James’ contempt request.
“Mr. Trump, I know you take your business seriously, and I take mine seriously, I hereby hold you in civil contempt and fine you $10,000 a day,” Engoron ruled.
The documents that James is requesting relate to the Trump Organization’s business dealings. She claims that the organization manipulated property values for tax purposes.
Trump will have to pay $10,000 per day until his lawyers do a more thorough search of “all of Trump’s mobile phones, Trump Tower in Manhattan, each of Trump’s properties where he maintains a “private residence” and “personal office,” off-site storage locations, and in “all electronic devices issued by the Trump Organization to Trump’s executive assistants.”

Oh my goodness! Ok folks...I put a question to you...could you find all an any paperwork related to you house, car, taxes, insurance, titles, what you spent for fix-ups, contractors, etc and etc for the last 10 years oh... and whatever your job was and everything related to your job??? President Trump is the most investigated person in history. The message is “you shouldn’t have won the election boy”.

Trump should sue the State of New York and Engeron personally to recover the fines and the damages he has incurred.

This is what I mean. Trump blithely walks into these situations. Or those he’s appointed as his advisors allow him to walk into these situations.
Trump is a great man and doesn’t deserve all of these investigations. But let’s face it, This sh!t will never stop.

This is exactly why they are doing what they are doing to Trump. So, that he and his supporters will finally give up. Lawfare, death by a thousand cuts, etc.
When you submit an affidavit to the Court stating that you have searched all your files and have provided all documents to the Court and opposing counsel, they are supposed to take you at your word unless they have evidence otherwise. This is a case of the prosecution and the judge stating that “we have no evidence of your guilt but we are sure you have that info somewhere, so provide it to us”. “Show me the man, and I’ll show you the crime”. When Trump says he has no such evidence, they fine him? This is after the person prosecuting based her entire campaign on “going after Trump”.
If this is allowed to stand, we have no more justice in this country. Especially after HRC was allowed to destroy and withhold evidence with absolutely no repercussions. Between what is happening to the Jan 6 defendants, the new Truth Ministry, and this travesty of justice, we have already turned into a third-world country and there is no going back.
Appeal it to a higher court.
They will do the same to the next GOP candidate for President. If it is DeSantis, he will suffer the same lawfare tactics they have used on Trump. How many times do conservatives plan to just give up? We may as well just go ahead and settle for Jeb! or even Romney again. Maybe this time, they will let him win. Hurrah for us!
