450,000 a month crossing the border isn’t helping.

Some items have doubled in price locally. Hamburger for instance.

I’m in an expensive small town on the San Francisco Peninsula. At my favorite coffee shop, simple breakfast of two slices of French Toast, three strips of thin bacon, coffee and a glass of milk is now $25! And I know the owner of the coffee shop is barely hanging on. She can’t get anybody to work and has worked seven days a week for two years to keep her business going. What used to be an affordable treat two or three times a week to meet with the other regulars is now a once-every-two-weeks luxury. Before long, it will be a once every two months luxury.

Suffering through inflation on a fixed income really sucks.

Not one Republican politician has demanded that ChiComjoe and his puppetmaster kakistocrats be tried, convicted and sentenced as traitors to the United States of America. The Republicans have joined the Demonicrats as traitorous collaborators.

Gee. Where have I hear THAT before? ;)

Plan accordingly, FRiends.

I just keep prepping each weekend. Build the stockpile, make sure it is in multiple places, and generally prepare for chaos.

If the chaos never happens...then great. If it does....well....

A dozen food processing plants have met with disasters in the last month. Two have been hit by planes! A plane crash is rare enough but in the same industry seems odd. Fires, explosions, etc . .

What’s going on with all these food processing plant disasters?

A 70 oz package of powdered milk, that I had in an online cart, went up almost 30% in a matter of days.

Re: The price of eggs.

We eat a lot of eggs, fresh and hard-boiled. No carbs, ‘cheap’ protein, no points against you on Weight Watchers. I buy the 18-pack each week.

The price this week is up to $3.40 for 18, or nearly 19-cents per egg.

I looked through all of my on-line grocery orders. On March 1st the same 18 pack of eggs was $1.45 or 8-cents per egg.

Yep. Move along! Nothing to see here, Folks!

Let’s Go, Brandon!

What REALLY surprises me? Walmart isn’t altering the prices on previous orders to hide any of these price increases. They must not be in cahoots with The Big Guy. ;)

Prepper ping - U.S. Foods / Commodities Price Rise
If you think your weekly food expense is going up, you're right;
now, imagine meat and food processing plants closing,
and then add the avian flu that is attacking the chicken and egg production (both were cheap sources of protein), but not now !
FReeper personal reports and observations included

(From the article):"..And thanks to the horrifying bird flu pandemic which is sweeping the nation, the price of eggs is going completely nuts…
The losses to egg-laying flocks have led to producers desperately racing to meet market demands for eggs and egg products,
with egg prices increasing as a result.
The average price of a dozen eggs is now close to $3.00, up from $1.60 at the beginning of the year, according to the USDA’s national egg report."

" If you think that these prices are wild, just wait until they double from their current levels."

"All over the world, a great battle for food resources has begun.
The Chinese saw this coming in advance, and so they have been engaged in the largest stockpiling program that any of us have ever seen.
I wrote about this back in December, but back then most people didn’t understand the true significance of that article."

"At that time, the amount of food that the Chinese had already accumulated was already extremely impressive…
Less than 20% of the world’s population has managed to stockpile more than half of the globe’s maize and other grains,
leading to steep price increases across the planet and dropping more countries into famine. "

The hoarding is taking place in China. "

Americans will not suffer much except for higher prices. Europe will have some shortages and really high food prices. Asia and Africa……might be awfully hungry.

As with everything else, the Democrat/Communist Party’s and the FJB’s administration’s plan to deal with this is to wear a mask ... and everything will be just fine then.
