Bloomberg News says the Obama production company Higher Ground is negotiating with Audible, iHeartMedia
Spotify is reportedly showing the Obamas the door.
Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday that Higher Ground, the production company run by former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, is seeking a multimillion deal elsewhere as their deal with Spotify expires this year, according to sources.
Among the potential partners Higher Ground is negotiating with are Amazon's Audible and iHeartMedia. Sources tell Bloomberg News the Obamas is hoping to find its new home within the coming weeks.
However, Bloomberg News indicated that the move was not the former president's choice.
"It has talked with multiple big networks, including Spotify, but the Swedish streaming giant declined to make an offer, according to three sources familiar with the discussions," Bloomberg News wrote.
Spotify did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

They see “the darkness”.
I suspect that Spotify was originally told to make a multi-million dollar bribe to Obama for a podcast that no one really wanted to listen to. Spotify said, “Okay. We’ll do it. Once. But when the contract is up, someone else can make the next bribe and buy the stupid podcast that no one wants for some different service.”
Reminds me of Air America. It never, ever made a profit and outlived its usefulness once Dubya was gone. So it faded as well. All it gave us was Rachel Madow, which was always good for a laugh.
Joe Rogan > Obama
You nailed it. These things are barely-disguised payoffs in order to keep The Party off your back. Book deals, speaking fees, etc. are on the same vector. It’s like paying protection money to The Mob. This one was Spotify’s turn - it is someone else’s turn next to keep the $$$$ flowing to Obama and his minions so he can continue to live like a pasha while talking about how much the traditional USA sucks.
Maybe they learned from Netflix that hiring the Obamas is not a good idea for their bottom line.
AT&T has just cut its losses and sold WarnerMedia/HBO/CNN etc. to Discovery. Maybe Discovery can do something with the beached whale, which has been drifting from one ugly marriage to another for over a decade.
Netflix is taking a drubbing.
We’ll see how the Musk/Twitter drama unfolds, but it’s interesting.
Spotify is ditching the Zeros.
Disney is finally getting some serious pushback. The Grooming Company may take a hit.
There are growing rumbles of a pushback against cancel culture across the spectrum. The left is waking up to the fact that the dragon is eating its own tail.
I’m beginning to think that we’re past Peak Woke. That doesn’t mean the battle is won. It’s more the “end of the beginning.” In the wokest circles, especially in the most toxic parts of academia, the hysteria will ratchet up even higher as the would-be commissars realize their dictatorship may be slipping from their grasp. But no one is going to take this seriously except the really stupid wing of the media and the democrat party. Admittedly, the stupid wing of the media and the democrat party is large and capable of doing a lot of damage, but I do think the toxic tide has crested.
I remember Air America was pitched as the radio liberal alternative to Rush Limbaugh.
It featured insufferable liberals like Madcow, Al Franken, and a host of other nobody’s.
Naturally, it failed.
Pea brain Obama, head of the where the fugawi tribe, lost his podcast?
Renewed money laundering

Ahem.
(Al Franken)
You would think he’d really grab people.

I’m here all week. Try the salad bar.
Exactly. It was likely never meant to get listeners, only to pay him off.
I agree... they are running scared...
Barry and Shelley obama are poison.
Discovery would be smart to put Mike Rowe on CNN with his own show. He is smart, funny, and all women over the age of 45 love him.
