I tried stretching, acupuncture, massage and synthetic fluid injection before giving in to hip replacement. But it was arthritis for me. They all gave me some temporary relief but eventually the pain returned. Good luck I know it’s tough.

I had knee joint bursitis. I minimized walking and it went away in about a month.

You have my sympathy as bursitis is painful.

How much conditioning of your core (back and abdominal muscles) do you do?

It’s just a theory, but I wonder if it wouldn’t be beneficial if you tighten and strengthen up all your posture and mid stabilizer support

My Chiro (the gentle kind) recommended a magnesium/potassium combo supplement, and said to stop stretching, and take multiple, short, slower walks instead of long walks. I kid you not, the pain is 95% gone. It’s feels like a miracle.

Best advice on the basis of thousands of hours of research:

Take all actions pursuant to eliminating external causes of systemic inflammation.

If you’re unsure how to accomplish that feat, consult a Naturopath.

Prediction: Upon your self-imposed ‘treatment’ you will notice an abatement of discomfort/pain within 2 weeks, improving thereafter.

Assuming that you’re ready to make the compulsory compromises pursuant to that goal.

Despite my own best efforts, the virus compromised a component of my health, leading to gradually increasing joint pain (some bursitis-like, others arthritis-like). I’m currently enduring a self-imposed regimen which gave me relief - exactly as I outline in my book and as I stated here - within 2 weeks (improvement was actually noted the first week).

‘If’ it has any bearing, you will know immediately that you’re on the right path, regardless of whether or not you understand the mechanism which underlies the symptoms.

Best of luck (from the heart).

I have degenerative bilateral lumbar stenosis. It was exacerbated by a car accident I had a few years ago. My pain management doctor prescribed muscle relaxants and also did cortisone shots in the spinal canal - that worked great! For a few weeks.

He also told me that aquatic therapy would help, which I’ve been doing, and the pain is very much reduced. He also recommended weight loss, and so far I’ve trimmed off 82 pounds.

I see my chiropractor once a week and she keeps things aligned.

Roll-on lidocaine. A lidocaine cream is also available. Major stores have their own store brands of both.

Diclofernac Sodium Topical Gel, 1%. This is prescription strength but available over the counter in store brands and as Voltaren. A pill version is available only by prescription. The gel is kind of pricey. It does not provide immediate relief but must be used several days before real relief.

I had severe pain in both shoulders for well over a year. I tried herbals, rubs, etc., and everything short of cortisone shots. The above 2 items have provided the best relief.

I treated my knee bursitis (diagnosed by my doctor) with Indomethacin (50mg), an anti-inflammatory.

Indomethacin worked miracles on my gout. That is why I have it in stock.

My doctor told me my knee bursitis would go away or it wouldn’t (thanks doc). Not an infection, so no antibiotics prescribed.

So I decided to take Indomethacin (anti-inflammatory) for it.

Better right away and GONE in a few days (a week tops) The prescription says 3 times a day, I did it twice a day.

The “miracle drug” (for me anyways) to the rescue again!

I hope this helps. I am NOT a doctor, nor do I play one on TV.

You may be improperly diagnosed as was I.
Get an MRI to see if you have avascular necrosis.
If so then a hip transplant. However, depending upon any number of things you may be able to get resurfacing which, I can state, is an amazing procedure that may leave you walking, running, jumping and able to live life outside of a golf course.
Luck

One teaspoon of Milk Of Magnesia every 8 hours or one in the morning and one before going to bed with a glass of water.

I had it in my knee. It out an entire month long vacation in the trash. All that worked was rest and naproxin. It hurt like nothing I have ever had before.

My hip stiffness and discomfort disappeared after transitioning to a gluten-free diet. Knee stiffness (fibrous feeling) and ankle inflammation that I also experienced are also gone.

A doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who is knowledgeable in BOTH herbs and acupuncture. Ideally Chinese-trained, definitely at least a decade, and ideally two or three of practice, good ratings on google and Yelp, and even better good word of mouth in the Chinese community.

Just acupuncture won’t do it as well, because you have an inflammation issue, and you need the mix of anti-inflammatory herbs.

Find the right one, and you will find a genuine magician.
