After Biden finished his speech, he turned around and tried to shake hands with thin air and then wandered around looking confused
Joe Biden had been, for decades, a corrupt and incompetent pol. Today, he is either an extreme left-winger or an empty vessel through which the extreme left is exerting control over America
But Biden isn’t the only one. Nancy Pelosi is gaga, a fact that she can’t hide with multiple plastic surgeries.
A member of the U.S. Senate recently said–privately–that one-third of senators belong in nursing homes. In the New York Post, Maureen Callahan argues for age limits on federal office holders:
Dianne Feinstein is notoriously incapable of carrying out the duties of her office:
Callahan concludes with poll data that I have not seen before:
A YouGov poll from January shows that 58% of Americans want an age limit for elected officials — forcible retirement at age 70. If something like that passed now, 71% of U.S. Senators would be out of a job.
We’re starting to look like the old Soviet Politburo.

D.C. is the American Politburo....there all corrupt...and if not the deep state takes care of them
Not if the right ones croak-you know. GOP governors.
FTA: “We’re starting to look like the old Soviet Politburo.”
We are indeed.
Another plot to stop Trump?
Right. Where was this narrative in 2020 when the obviously senile Joe Biden was stealing the election?
But right. Let’s start talking about it now, just in time to stop the sharp-as-a-tack Trump from running in 2024.
We were perfectly happy to have a 70+ year old president when it was Trump, although I will admit he not only seemed to have full cognitive faculties, he probably could work circles around most of the people who criticized him. But still, the left were also hypocrites, constantly calling him too brash, implying he was deranged and an unpredictable threat to stability, and of course the constant liar myth.
Personally, speaking in generalities, I would sooner trust the emotional stability of someone over 50 years old than I would someone under 30. This is not to mention being worldly and experienced
DiFi looks like she won’t last until year-end.
The old Soviet Politburo were mostly in their early 70s. We have many who are well beyond that.
It’s not the age so much it’s that so many of them are old school Stalinists.
“Dianne Feinstein is notoriously incapable of carrying out the duties of her office.”
Her and Harris would be a great team.
Exactly. Mental status exam as part of the hurdle to run for office and yearly for those serving after age 50 OK.
An age rule ignoring individual differences so the brain dead can feel they have addressed the problem. Hell no.
While we are addressing problems a civics test would be very worthwhile.
At least 15 US Senators are over 80. About half are over 70.
I remember when we were laughing at the decrepit Soviet leaders back in the 80s. Andropov was 70! Now he would be the youngest of the leaders in DC.
Another sign of our corruption. People do not leave because like Biden, Hillary, Romney, Mitchell, etc, it is the source of their bribery and graft. Also they have to hold power lest someone else come after THEIR wealth.
It’s not above age, it’s not about color, it’s not about sex or sexuality.
It’s about the elephant in the room, competence. We need to demand proof of competence at all levels of society, no dumbing down to control outcome of different interest groups. Not in school, not on corporate boards, not in the military & not in Government.
Equality of outcome has destroyed merit based function and will reduce our level of performance to imbecility across the board.
Get all the over 70’s outta there. Supreme Court too. Going up there to die is ridiculous.
Yep. Age isn’t the problem, it’s age AND Marxism.
What a recipe for disaster you have promoted. Talk about your babies & bathwater.
But when someone is over 80, you wouldn’t let them plan a family reunion. They are way too slow and set in their ways, and unable to deal with unplanned changes. So they double down on what they know. They also tend to become bullies.
50-60s is fine, and Trump was an exception in his 70s. Reagan took office at 70 and was fine, but every candidate we get now seems to even be older than Reagan when he left office.
Octogenarians have no business running nations. And it is personally depraved of them to attempt to even do so.
