RNC promises to work through 'newer, better debate platforms' for GOP nominees.
The Republican National Committee unanimously voted to withdraw from the Commission on Presidential Depates.
The RNC clarified that it is not moving away from the presidential debate format, but is rather objecting to the CPD's control over the process. RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel made the announcement in a statement Thursday.
"Debates are an important part of the democratic process, and the RNC is committed to free and fair debates," McDaniel said in the statement. "The Commission on Presidential Debates is biased and has refused to enact simple and commonsense reforms to help ensure fair debates including hosting debates before voting begins and selecting moderators who have never worked for candidates on the debate stage."

Just in writing. They’ve given it over to the Dems for decades.

Hallelujah. What a joke it’s been. I agree with Mark Levin: have him and Rachel Maddie as comoderators, so it’s balanced and everyone’s bias can be worn on the sleeve, rather than pretend that the parade of liberal hack moderators are interested in being fair

Long, Long, Long overdue. It was known forever that the commission was basically a Left partisan group. Saying and doing the obvious right thing should not have taken this long.

One debate should cover one topic. Racism. A panel of 4 questioners. 3 black and 1 hispanic(Juan Williams). The left needs to be exposed and this would do it. Just make sure it isn’t Mittens.

Take that, Chris Wallace.

It has been a communist joke that the RNC always seemed to slobber over for too long.

The first ones I remember were put on by ‘The League of Women Voters.’ I don’t recall why they stopped hosting them...

ONLY SOLUTION: NO DEBATE MODERATOR - , Have a simple time keeper and let the candidates question each other on the top ten issues..

It was founded by a suffragist... most of those were originally Republicans... rebranded abolitionists...

Because the League of Women Voters were just as biased as the Commission on Presidential Depates.
Conservative voters and their views need to have a seat at the table during these events. All we’re asking for is an even playing field. Sort of like fair and transparent elections.

One wonders for how many years the members have been unanimously inclined to withdraw from CPD controlled debates.
When did it become more than a simple majority or even a 2/3d's action?
What has prevented this solution given the consistent history of obviously biased presidential cycles?
WTH took it so long to do what appears to be a very simple matter?
