Mr. Penn is actually quite qualified to assess Ukraine's chances in this conflict. After all, he:

- introduced the pincer movement to Hannibal
- Took over for Nelson after he was wounded at Trafalgar
- led a brilliant defense at Cowpens
- was Eisenhower's logistics chief in '44 and '45
- spent 4 years with the Mujahadeen fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan
- commanded VII Corps during the first Gulf War
