The UN Food and Agriculture Organization reported on Friday they are recording the highest Food Price Index since they started recording thirty years ago. With record highs in prices for cereals, vegetable oils, dairy and meats
This issue has been a slow burning fuse toward the biggest powder keg in modern history, and it is about to get very serious. We have been warning about it since last fall. In the most deliberate and painstaking ways possible, we have been urging everyone to take this issue seriously.

The American led order, which kept the peace as far as “major” wars were concerned for over seventy years is coming to an end. That peace led to the largest expansion of human population and relative wealth in human history. The problem is that without the peace a lot...maybe most of humanity is living at a level of sustenance that can’t be continued. Even a minor war, such as the one in Ukraine, threatens governments and population centers as far away as Shri Lanka and Peru. This means America, as the one place affected the least by starvation, will be inundated with people who will flood across our unprotected southern border. Our government will helpfully bus them to your town and then dump them on you.
Our government will helpfully bus them to your town and then dump them on you....
And we get to pay for their care and feeding while they fill out ballots for the democrats.
The green lunatic assault on the fossil fuel industry is the primary cause of decreased farm productions, high food costs, shortages and the coming hunger wars. The lunatics have made natural gas, the core ingredient of fertilizer scarce and expensive. Also diesel fuel a necessity for farm production is very expensive. If there are bad harvests in China and India, there will be actual famines.
The green lunatics in the US and EU will not themselves starve. However justice demands that they be held accountable for the coming misery and deaths.
While our government also keeps mandating ethanol in gas (when corn can be eaten or the farmland grow something else to eat).
In the middle of a food crisis.
Everytime I go to the grocery store now, it’s a balance between what I really need, and what I’m afraid will jump next in price before the next trip.
It’s 0dd though. Maple syrup, supposedly in short supply is still on sale. White Lilly flour is on sale this week. Lots of sweets and cookies too.
But there are no saltine crackers. And when they are in stock, they are snatched up quick. Hamburger was $4.99. Oats have jumped about 20%, and I noticed Campbell’s soups are now $1.89 a can for most.
I remember buying Campbell’s tomato soup for 10 cents a can. And by the way, it was CONDENSED soup back then... not now!
When the bread riots start in Juarez (1.5 million hungry mouths) what happens in El Paso?
The article ends with: "We are in an abusive relationship with government leaders."
The sentiment seems most accurate. Time to vote out all Democrats, and "primary" all RINOs. in favor of true conservatives.
Walmart has maintained a supply of their saltines (81 cents) since I noticed the shortage six weeks ago. The last head of lettuce I bought was more expensive than the 12 oz package of bacon I bought the same day. There’s a perfect storm of drought, gas and fertilizer inflation and shortages, government incompetence and sabotage coming to California agriculture that is going to hit like a category 5 by mid summer.
(Just getting started)
Yep
First comes Satan’s anti-messiah with a confirmed 7-year deal of ‘Peace and Security’.
Then, the other three horsemen are released. Including this one:
Revelation 6:5-11
King James Version
5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

I paid 96 or 98 cents for their crackers s few weeks ago. Still I was glad it wasn’t more, yet.
(From the source article) :" The background cause is complex and started with the 2020 government response to the pandemic.
U.S. and international government intervention in the food supply process has been FUBAR from the beginning.
Every action taken since early 2020 has been one bad policy after another; building failure upon failure, crisis upon crisis,
bad decision upon bad decision, bringing us to a precipice summed up by saying “the absence of food will change things. ” (Emphasis mine)
Some will say the food prices we are about to experience –and the crisis it will create– was deliberate.
Others will say this was the cumulative outcome of major failures on the part of the government.
At this point the former makes more sense, and the latter looks like a justification and excuse, because if government entities were really serious about food prices and shortages,
they would be taking pragmatic steps to mitigate the problem; they are not. "
( My Comment): Let that last statement sink in !
Now think of what the effects will be to this nation, especially with a wide-open southern border ,and then think about the effects internationally to poorer nations.
Please go to the source article for increased understanding of what we are facing, and for graphic comparisons.
Food rationing in the USA?
Now add to this situation, our administration's "war on fossil fuels", abruptly trying to instantly create an electrical revolution, ignoring all the additional petroleum byproducts
and you can see that this is a deliberate self-sabotage by the nation's political leadership to create a catastrophe leading up to assuring "The Great Reset".
Petroleum is essential in the creation of fertilizers, pesticides, and operation of agricultural machinery, as well as fuel for trucking and supply chain issues.
No sane government would intentionally create such crisis, except to control the population.
She suggested that, rather than (or maybe in addition to) start a garden, which requires time and effort, and incurs significant risks (pests, weather, etc.), that I build a stockpile of canned vegetables.
I thought that was an excellent idea, especially since I now have space to store it.
"Even the official inflation statistics are running high. They are understating the true inflation when you adjust for all the gimmicks they put in the CPI in the last 20 years. But when inflation on the government statistics is running at 7-10%, they’re just not going to have room to start the printing presses again. "
When Volker worked his magic with interest rates I believe the national debt was less than $1T. Who knows but we might be actually increasing it at a rate of $1T a month now.
I’d do both. I started my first garden two years and was very successful with it. I had an excess to can but soon found there were no canning supplies to be had. I’ve corrected that shortage and am buying from the store as well as will be eating and canning from the garden.
You can do both.
Do stockpile canned goods and learn to garden in the meantime.
That's my plan. I'm planting only watermellons this year.
I do have all the resources (many) to can food if it's available. And, I do live in a rural area where people do often have large gardens, chickens, cows, etc.
I lave much to barter with for food too.
