His 2007 Super Bowl halftime show in a driving rain was one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen. Epic. The NFL put together a fine documentary about it.
A natural Talent !
Thanks.
I did not know that.
[not that it really matters beyond today...]
Markle is shorter than Kate?
Yes, I really enjoyed that. Prince always had exceptional talent. I found my old, Prince And The Revolution album in the attic of my childhood home. The record was totally warped from the New Orleans heat.

It is said- I didn’t hear it- that an interviewer asked Eric Clapton what it was like to be the best guitar player in the world Eric said, “I don’t know. Why don’t you ask Prince.”

Thanks for the links.
Wow, what a find!
I liked Jackson’s dancing talent, and his music was ok. But Prince had talent+. He played over 20 musical instruments.
I also remember not too long before he died, he refused to release his music on youtube or allowed anyone to post it.
He would have a still shot of himself sort of blurred on a video with no music, and there were some angry comments.
One comment said, “No one is going to remember you when you’re gone!”
Right after his death, his songs were all over youtube.
Awww, he was a cute kid.
Bkmk
Go watch his Montreux shows from 2013, guy was a beast, in any genre his did, old school funk or hard rock.

I was never much into Prince in the day, but I saw this video a year or so ago and was blown away by his performance! Totally changed my view about Prince.
This video has been saved in my YouTube library ever since.
That performance was....well, to use an overused phrase...epic.
The other three just relented, eventually, didn’t they?
I was briefly in Minneapolis with the Marines once in the mid-80s. A bunch of us went to that nightclub in his movie. I was sitting at the bar by myself drinking a beer. A cute waitress saw my cowboy boots and me not fitting in. She asked me to go with her. I thought I was either getting kicked out, or getting lucky.
She took me out some double doors off to the side of the stage and down that hallway in the movie where all the dressing rooms were. Then we go in a door about the size of an average living room with a very small stage about a single step taller than the floor. A few others were standing in there bewildered. She kept showing up and bringing in people.
Then an outside door opened and in walked Prince with two NFL looking bodyguards. He was like 6 feet away and picked up a guitar and played three songs. I wasn’t really even a fan then, so I don’t know what songs they even were.
But I am here to tell you, that man could play a guitar like nobody I have ever seen. I had no idea how talented he was.
My buddies, one of which was a dark green, and a huge fan, and the reason we were there couldn’t believe it. I don’t know if he ever did really believe me.
He was beautiful.
LOL, yes indeed. And that’s saying something, when the likes of Tom Petty and Steve Winwood get upstaged.
Agree.
A beautifully gifted person, for sure.
