-Now, they're looking into potentially filing a lawsuit. -The high school runner was punched in the head during his 1,600m race last Saturday at the Tohopekaliga Tiger Invitational in Kissimmee, Florida.
-The athlete who threw the punch had earlier got in the way of the lead runner.
-After still obscuring the track, the runner pushed him out of the way.
-On the subsequent lap, the other athlete sucker punched the runner the face, knocking him over - he managed to get to his feet and complete the race.

The family of a high school track star who was sucker-punched during a race say they had wanted to press charges against his attacker but deputies had threatened to arrest their son if they'd done so.
Now, the family is considering filing a civil lawsuit against the other student and the track invitation event that hosted the race, their attorney says.
Shocking video of the attack during the Tohopekaliga Tiger Invitational in Kissimmee last Saturday captured the incident as a pack of runners coming down the track in the 1,600-meter race when a teen comes up from behind and punches the athlete in the lead in the back of the head

Earlier reports said the black kid — who was not at all involved in that particular race — had wandered onto the track in the path of the runners. The white kid, who was in that race, pushed or shoved the black kid out of the way as he ran past, telling him to get off the track. The black kid took offense and waited until the runners came around again and sucker punched the white kid. I haven’t seen footage of the white kid pushing the black kid out of the way.
I’m really SHOCKED that the media in this country haven’t been all over this story . . . sarc/
I was gonna say, pushing another runner out of the way seems like being the instigator with a possible battery charge as well. If that is accurate, I can see why the cops might have said something to the effect of, “Sure, but we could arrest you, too!”
The left is pushing for a race war. Sickening that cops are now a part of it.
Police go to the same liberal brain-washing schools and colleges as everyone else...
The incident went down at the Tohopekaliga Tiger Invitational in Kissimmee on Saturday ... when witnesses claim the athlete in a black uniform was standing on the track as the runner in white and red was circling around and leading the pack.Witnesses say the runner in first place yelled at the athlete in black to move ... but when the next lap came around, the guy appeared to purposely get in the way of the runner by standing on the track.
According to witnesses, the runner in first then pushed the athlete in black to get him out of the way. In response, the athlete chased down the runner and punched him from behind.
The runner who was attacked then fell to the track ... but it's unclear if he suffered significant injuries or if he finished the race.
They’d get him on “blocking the righteous path of a feral knuckledragger”.
Is it possible this guy is related to Will Smith?
e attacker out of the way in a prior lap because he was blocking the track.
= = =
the school of the track blocker could be removed from present, past, and future competition.
that would get some attention.
And charge him criminally, too.
No it’s not. What gave you that idea. By definition hate and racism can only go against the group, “without power.”
how did americans ever get by without that sweet, sweet diversity?
Let me guess - no charges against the attacker?
The kid who punched the race leader WAS NOT IN THE RACE.
He was pushed out of the runner’s way by the race leader. The little bastard then waited for the runners to come back around, and then sucker-punched the race leader.
If you’re on a track when a race is going on, you DESERVE to get pushed out of the way. And the race officials could be in for a world of hurt here too, for failing to keep the track clear of interference.
Ah, got it, thanks.
Yes they do and add that to the percentage of them that are jack-booted thugs and it gets even worse.
Their lawyer provided statements for the article.
When the cops want to arrest you, they will charge you with something. It may be complete bullsh*t, but you will still end up in jail and in a headache with the legal system.
The push was during the previous lap, on the track.
Federal hate crime. Period.
I had read that it was just before the start of the race. It seems weird that he’d push him off during the race and then he’d come up from behind to clock him like that?
