For the benefit of people outside the USA who are frankly baffled at how this is evolving...
Thing is...
1. Putin threatened NATO with two WW3 triggers - land invasion and nuclear war - weeks ago. His battle plans still talk about invading the Baltics. He's demanding America gives back Alaska. And he wants Trump back. Doesn't like Biden.
Does Trump support NATO or does he want America to leave that alliance? Is Alaska negotiable? Why does Putin quite like the idea of doing business with Trump, and if the price is so low then what's the holdup?
Is it really a good idea to have POTUS owe Mad Vlad a favor given what Putin is likely to end up asking for in return for fishing the dirt on Hunter Biden?
Irrespective of what you think of Zelenskyy, he doesn't have any WMDs let alone a nuclear capability, and he has not threatened the USA at all. The thing he has refused to do (publicly) is meddle with American internal politics.
It might be the case that Hunter Biden's laptop is a really big deal that could blow the Deep Stare doors off, or it might simply show that Hunter is only as corrupt as thousands of other folks. One way, Trump benefits at Biden's expense if the truth comes out but then owes the Deep State and Zelenskyy, the other way involves him selling his soul to Putin to achieve the same result.
For the benefit of us thickos who actually have Putin on our doorstep, and can see that he's a man who will sign any agreement with the full intention of breaking it at the first available opportunity, what exactly is it about Biden's laptop that is so existentially important to Trump that it was worth the risk of triggering a major international diplomatic ncident via Zelenskyy last year, or worth enabling a Putin-led Soviet resurgence over it this year?
Valid questions, therefore, prepare to be ZOT’d.

I think trump (if he said this) might try to say something to get the Hunter and the laptop in another news cycle since the 4:00 am talking points might be to slam the lid down on further discussion after the limited hangout. The issue can now be memory holed.

Which foreign powers are or have bribed Slow Joe? Russia? China? Ukraine? Saudi Arabia? What are the details?
Trump is essentially challenging Putin to confess or deny that he is one of the parties who pays or has previously paid money to Slow Joe to buy influence.
The media may paint this as Putin doing a favor for Trump that will need to be repaid. I think of it more like a cop telling a suspect to confess what he knows about the crime.
This is a side track from showing Biden is actually begging Putin and Iran for oil.
This is another trap portrayal for Trump, just like when they had info on Hillary for him.

I personally think it was a bad move by Trump, because it gives his enemies fodder to attack him, but I also know he will not make concessions to Putin that would undermine this nation.
All Trump is really asking for is to explain why the wife of Moscow's mayor gave Hunter Biden 3.5 million.
Is Ukraine devoid of WMD? While I'm certain they do not have nuclear weapons, they may indeed be in possession of illegal WMD in the form of biological weapons, and the U.S. may have played a major role in their acquiring those illegal WMD weapons.
Putin did say that, but there is no way we will ever get Alaska back. 🙂
