It was a joke. Probably a sick one, but a joke nonetheless.

As for me, I’m actually stocking up. I’m aware of what’s coming.

I’m Joe Biden, and I approved this famine.

I figured. It left me wondering where you would wipe after spreading your manure. I figured I’d use the lawn when toilet paper ran out. Wipe rinse and move over. Thing is then, then grass grows faster, means more mowing, requires more fuel for the mower. This crap has no end. 😜

I’m like you trying to get ready. :)

Liquified and solids, manure from poultry, pigs and cows is indeed used as fertilizer, but doesn’t come close to what is needed for acceptable cropland productivity. Not even in Iowa, which has almost unbelievable millions of poultry, pigs and cattle.

My buddy told me in two years time, one 30 gal herbicide for his farm went from $360 to $1800.

Sounds about right...the “generic” I buy at TS once every couple of years (I maintain Mom’s 15 acres...more herbicide equals less “weed eating” work! (& backaches)) more than doubled in price...($56. —>$130.00)

You can get around it by an old-fashioned hand-propelled mower. That way, your scat-fueled grass can be kept under control without paying $15 a gallon.

“I believe some 180 million people were added to the global starvations rolls thanks to the ethanol craze.“

Nonsense.

A 🐴? one or two of these or some goats can help too. Actually there ain’t no easy road. Told my wife if the pioneers could live crossing the country we ought to be able to survive for awhile. Their life expectancies weren’t great. Big city dewellers won’t be happy at all.

Respond to price signals, huh? Okay.

They can suddenly access more land? Stop growing crops for ethanol? More fertilizer and pest control stuff the government is fighting tooth and nail to control and limit to them?

They have all this extra storage capacity (silos, etc.) laying around unused?

They can schedule and ship by rail or truck any time they want - no problem. Gas, trucks, railcars.....

They will produce more and then sit back and hear the government complain about their ‘windfall profits?’

These wonks and government incompetents are really only interested in some obsequious answer to everyone and then say, “thank you for your questions - gotta go now.”
