Today, I signed HB 1557, the Parental Rights in Education Act, into law.
It ensures parents can send their kids to kindergarten without gender ideology being injected into instruction and they will be notified and have the right to decline healthcare services offered at schools.

How long will it take for the child groomers to find an Osama Obama appointee to overturn it?
To: shadowlands1960
Yay!
Now if only the rest of the country would enact the same.

aka Anti-grooming Act.
It’s sad we even have to know terms like grooming.

Done Not really. There is a LOT more work to do to shield children from sexual perverts.

‘Done’ as in ‘the bill is signed after a lot of hoopla.’
I never really expect legislation to change much on the ground...

It is a shame we adopt legislation to fortify what is already in place by natural law. It’s like legislating gravity to make sure it is not abused.

I hate calling it “grooming”. Grooming is making yourself look presentable. The kind of brainwashing the left is doing to make kids sexual victims is way worse than that.

Agreed. It should’ve been called the anti-sexual predator law.

My neighbor's little girl has asthma. She was required to leave her rescue inhaler at the school office. She could only use it if the school nurse decided it was necessary. The school nurse had five school to cover so was rarely at the school.
She ended up in emergency three times in one year because she could not use her inhaler.
The last time she begged them to call her mom to bring her second inhaler to the school. When her mom got there she was not allowed in. The school called the police on the mother because she was trying to give her child literally life saving treatment.
When the ambulance got there, a half hour later, they gave her the exact same treatment as her mother tried to get to her.
But if the school system wants to give a child strong chemicals that will leave them sterile, with cancer and their body permanently screwed up with out telling their parents... that is just dandy.

I must say that, the big advantage that DeSantis has over Trump, is that as Governor, DeSantis has a team in place, of guys he knows and trusts that he could bring to DC with him. Can Trump do that? Judging by his first term, I think that’s an uphill battle.

Michigan.
They got so paranoid about "drugs in school" that basic OTC or even prescription medication is verboten without the blessing of the school.
They took her out of the public school over it. And discovered when they moved her to private school how very bad the education had been at public school. She was almost a year behind the other students. And she was only in third grade.
A little tutoring and she caught right up but it was a major jolt for the parents.
