Newsweek Shift – Maybe Putin Not So Bad, He Could Devastate Ukraine, but Putin Is Holding Back
Conservative Treehouse ^ | March 23, 2022 | Sundance

Well, this is weird. After weeks of the horrible Putin narrative, Newsweek softens the tone, perhaps sees a larger landscape where Russia is working strategically though a plan and says, “Putin’s Bombers Could Devastate Ukraine but He’s Holding Back.” Wait, what?

According to the anonymous Newsweek sources – intelligence officials who fear speaking publicly for fear of severe repercussions – it would be very easy for Vladimir Putin to level the key cities and industries in Ukraine, but he’s not doing it.

The strategy Newsweek is seemingly beginning to admit is the same strategy Col Douglas Macgregor has been speaking about.

(Newsweek) – As destructive as the Ukraine war is, Russia is causing less damage and killing fewer civilians than it could, U.S. intelligence experts say....

Newsweak has nowhere to go but up. Maybe they are trying to position themselves to be taken seriously when what's left of CNN's and MSNBC's credibility is in ashes.

Brandon has never been against Putin.

Hype and psyops are just that.

Group think control campaigns.

No association with reality.

Be interesting when this conflict ends to see who was most accurate. Like with opinion polls. And you know how agenda driven they mostly are. My bet none of the alphabets will have much credibility. Not that they had any to begin with

Elli is now back on course to Corpus Christi, Texas, after about a week at anchor near Spain. Elli is loaded with Russian oil. So, there are some strange things going on indeed.

Col Douglas Macgregor was one of Trump’s advisors, and one he should still listen to.

"Duh. Putin clearly stated his goals at the beginning and never planned to take over Ukraine."

Putin told us repeatedly he had no intention of invading Ukraine. I guess accidents happen.

If Newsweak is shiftng, it’s because they were told to. They aren’t the type to leave the plantation and venture out on their own.

This a really stupid take. Putin’s military push has failed. Now they are terrorizing the civilians. Is the author complaining that the cvilians are not hit hard enough?

“Putin’s Bombers Could Devastate Ukraine but He’s Holding Back.”

How can that be? I heard the overwhelming superiority of the Ukraine military totally destroyed all Russian land, sea and air forces yesterday - at least four times, so there just cant be anything left!

He didn’t “invade” Ukraine. He called it a limited military operation with the goal of putting a stop to the Azov Battalion and other assorted militias inflicting pain and destruction in the Donbas and Donetsk regions, which is majority Russians. They were supposed to be able to live peaceably with the Ukrainians per the Minsk agreement, but the agreement was being violated on a daily basis. I guess Putin got tired of seeing Russian Ukrainians suffering.

190,000 troops is a limited military operation not an invasion? Please.

The Dictator of Belarus showed us the battle plan map. It has Russia taking all of Ukraine and Moldavia.

They could also line up 1,000 artillery pieces wheel to wheel and fire 2 rounds at a particular 10 block square grid, then change to the next grid and fire 2 more rounds apiece, etc. 1,000 rounds delivered to such a small area would leave little standing. Or they could do roughly the same with Katyusha-type rockets.

Yes, Putin is holding back.
