In 2020, Cherokee County, Ga., voted for President Trump by a margin of nearly +30. It is full of families where men do the muscular jobs and own businesses that keep the lights on, the internet humming, and the toilets flushing. It has also seen a steady influx of white-collar professionals with young families fleeing the chaos leaching out of Atlanta. Residents fly American flags in the county as a matter of course.
There are more churches than bars, and high school football on Friday nights is still a thing. Yet viral video of a Cherokee County mom has surfaced. Many people who live there would be shocked to learn that the video below came from their local school board’s March 17 meeting. The parent alerted school board members to explicit content from a book available to students called Homegoing and got cut off by one of the members.
Then the parent reads an explicit passage from the book, at which point a board member, Patsy Jordan, cuts her off. The member lectured her that children could be watching the meeting, and the selection was inappropriate under those circumstances. Incredulous, the mom shot back, “Don’t you find the irony in that? You’re saying exactly what I’m telling you. You’re giving it to our children.” It seems the concept of irony is lost on the current Cherokee County School Board.

I don’t think just replacing them is near enough, they belong in PRISON for Distributing Kiddie Porn to Children, but Every one of those books should be given to the Children and Grandchildren of these Pedophiles.

There’s a very simple solution - run for school board.
I live in Cherokee County (Woodstock). I don’t have any children in school here though…moved here after they were out of public school. My children attended worse public schools and universities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
I am surprised this is happening here. It’s a bit of a wake-up call.
I agree, but what happened?
Did they admit they were wrong? Did they remove the book from the school library?
More of this should be put out so that voters see who is running for their school boards. I think people are smart enough to vote clowns like this out when they get to see this.

But since this was not PAID work obviously it was worthless. And mom would be better off getting a 8-5 job.
That was pushed by society, academia, the media, the government and, sadly, sometimes their husbands who wanted that extra paycheck.
You tell someone that they are a parasite, a drain, worthless and a drag long enough and they will change their behavior.
So they went out and got "real jobs". And things that they used to do have been left to languish.
As a society we are not the better for it.
I was fighting this fight in 1990 when my kids were in school....
....it was Sex Ed and I was a volunteer on our school improvement committee’ and was privy to read the curriculum that our state legislature had just passed.
This was suppose to be a done deal
Except I took the curriculum home and disseminated the whole rotten transcript of words and pictures ( w Planned Parenthood fingerprints all over, imo) to my neighbors, friends, churches and .......as others joined us, we networked slowly but surely through our whole county!
The school board meeting was packed....with speaker after speaker
against the curriculum
We had an alternate curriculum they rejected....
BUT they rewrote the original to reflect our age appropriate, abstinence only position.
Ours stayed in place many years....
...but as parents can see, those who want to harm our children.....morally, spiritually, emotionally
....never give up.......they keep coming back

My kids school district.
My kids are light years ahead of their peers for “sexual” lingo and education.
Most parents in this district are more concerned with their money and their personal infidelities than actually being a part of their children’s lives.
Cherokee County is rapidly becoming a part of 3rd World Georgia.
