If only there were a way to store water for times like this. Perhaps a wall or something that could hold water back so it would fill in a low lying area. Alas such a device will never exist.

Why don’t they start first with kicking all illegals out? That would reduce the population in half, reducing water demand substantially.

Everything ya see growing in S. CA has been planted and must be watered.

In fact, if ya shut the water off going into S.CA, it would revert back to desert in a matter of a few months. No joke.

California doesn’t have a water problem, it has a Democrat problem. They have plenty of water, but can effectively use it because of Democrat party policies.
Full disclosure; I grew up in SE LA county and lived in the Sacramento area for a few years so I’ve seen both the south, the north and lived with their unique issues.

It’s caused by solar panels and windmills.

Newsom is doing NOTHING to increase water storage. He’s a useless POS.

For some reason I’m thinking of these severe droughts ancient Israel had and how they kept not repenting.

Don't forget that the federal government because of “environmental and native American treaty considerations” is going full speed ahead at removing the Klammath Falls reservoir dams along the California/Oregon boarder.

If you read the tea leaves, people in cities will always get a small amount of water over farmers. Unfortunately, this means that lots of irrigated California agricultural products will start to be in short supply. Eventually things like almonds, dairy products (the feed and water for the cows), melons, etc. will need to be imported from other places.

They wasted 5 years worth of water last year.

They have no one to blame but themselves.

Hi.

My apologies...

Not enough snow melt? Usage downstream? Is it the poor condition of some dams? Water reservoirs?

Or is it the snail darter, salmon or the cock swallow?

Methinks the environmental nazis in the CA legislature does the later species to accomplish their green agenda.

Flush toilets soon to be outlawed.

CA residents will be provided recyclable sticks to push waste down the pipe.

Desalination plants should be springing up in the less habitable parts of coastal areas. There’s lots of water in the Pacific!

No need for fossil fuel or even nuclear; natural evaporation can be used. Think of a lifeboat survival desalinator writ large...very large. A bonus of marketable pure sea salt results as well.
