Those Iranians have more darn bad luck at their nuclear and military facilities.

Yeah, it's gotta be Karma...

What about that huge explosion that took out a section of Beirut. How did that compare? That was big, but not nuke-big.

I don’t know, but being above ground, and then over water, probably not much. It was as big as some tactical nukes, but those are tiny, around 1 kilo-ton, versus the Norks with 500 kilo-tons, and I’m not even sure the Norks made it to 4.7.

According to your link, this happened:

M 4.7 - 91 km SE of Dārāb, Iran

2022-03-19 12:25:26 (UTC)28.254°N 55.291°E10.0 km depth

Which was yesterday, as it is currently 7:00 PM Sunday March 20, 2022 in Iran.

Yet, there are still no news articles regarding this that are current? The most recent one is from Dec 4 2021 about a controlled explosion test at a nuclear facility.

It certainly wasn’t Biden. He’s trying to give Iran everything Iran wants.

I don't think anyone realizes just how strong a 4.7 quake is.

Maybe an explosion happened just before a natural quake.

They mostly blow themselves up, but there’s always hope...

Either way, the outcome is the same. Both work for me.

Of course our government wouldn’t lie about such things.

Would they?

“Of course our government wouldn’t lie about such things.”

Since you broached the subject. Everybody lies about these things imo.

In 2006 I was in Iraq. My hooch was steel, up-armored and very heavy. It sat on piles going several feet into the ground. On several occasions I heard very loud and sharp pings coming up from the ground. It sounded like putting my ear to a solid steel floor and someone striking it with a sledge hammer a couple hundred feet away. Very sharp and loud. They would occur on the hour and half hour over a several-week period. Maybe four or five in total. The news in the coming days would be a flurry of ‘Pakistan - India talks’, ‘regional stability concerns’ and stuff like that. But not a peep about nuclear testing or seismic P-waves detected. But I was certain that’s what I heard.

It's not like earthquakes are unusual in Iran.

And there is evidence that underground nuclear testing might cause quakes.
